Olde London Road — Restaurant in Asheville

It seemed like they had a cool outdoor setup so I wanted to give them a try. My friend and I went to the bar and realized we couldn't read any drinks listed on the wall with it being dark. I wouldn't normally care but when we asked what they had on tab the bartender rudely said, "they're all up there". I couldn't believe it. Long story short, I ended up with one of the worst beers I've ever had. (The lady next to me drinking a beer recommend). It was so gross that my friend couldn't even help me finish it. For a $7 beer it says something when we can only manage to drink half of it. Hands down the worst customer service I've experienced grabbing a beer in Western North Carolina. When Asheville and the surrounding area is full of amazing breweries and bars I don't know why anyone would come here. Now I grab my beers at the Wedge and only stop by here to pick up some Mexican food to take home at the food...

First visit and I will definitely be back. Clean and welcoming place that is dog friendly. Bar tender was very friendly and definitely knows his stuff. They have one of my favorites on tap, but I wanted something a little lighter tonight. Recommended one that ended up being the perfect one for the night. Asked him about the food truck, he asked me a few questions and then had a few recommendations. Went with the fish tacos and he nailed it yet again! Awesome food! This was an interesting little joint that was more like an English Bar than a proper pub. What I was anticipating versus what I experienced was a sports bar.

The selection of English beverages was very limited, didn't see a Shandy or any Fullers available. The pictures of Walkers called my name, but in the end weren't available anymore.

If your into loud and lively places that have lots of tvs then this is your jam. The Olde London Road English Sports Bar (renamed) plays European sport options.
