Temper your expectations. If you are coming for a show and you want convenience, I can see where you might find value in this food. I’m sure something here is good, However, I can only speak to what we ordered:

The “carne asada” taco was $2 extra and amounted to nothing more than an unseasoned SteakUmm with raw onion and cilantro. I don’t find it remotely acceptable to be served that style of protein at that price point.

The guacamole was smashed avocado and not much else. While the flavor of guac can vary and be very subjective, we ultimately decided it was worth pulling the cilantro and lime from Our tacos and making our own version. Salt goes a long way.

The house made chips were good. Maybe the bright spot of the meal.

The arepa was average. It could have been better but we went with the chicken which made the biscuit a soggy mess. Go with carnitas if you decide to order, and you might be able save what’s left of the bottom half. The arepa comes with chips and salsa.

Salsa, again average. It was described by our party as having a tomato paste flavor. It did not give off any kind of freshness.

One experience, but an experience nonetheless. I would not consider this a destination for food but rather a convenient option for a late night show after a 1/2 dozen beers. The staff were friendly and food came out in a timely manner...

This is a take a whole day or afternoon kind of place. Check the schedule for live music, grab your patio table and never leave kind of joint!

Food is incredible, we all had tacos, chips and guacamole, plantains with sauce, quesadillas and margaritas! Oh let us not forget the saucy burrito that was from another planet. We all were overjoyed with the food. Their special sauces are a must try and unique in flavor. Menu is priced very reasonably. Portions are generous. Food is very tasty and fresh. Highly recommend the brisket taco 🌮

The venue is large. Dog 🐕 friendly; there were several tables with their dogs present. We opted for outside patio and watched the band setup while we shoveled tacos into our faces. Great local low key vibes. Interior and exterior is decorated in a kitchen-cool items. We had to leave but wanted to stay as long as we could. So don’t be like us, plan better and stay to...

Came here for country music brunch today. The tickets were sold separately, and were more expensive than advertised. The food was mediocre (my breakfast bowl was pretty much flavorless but the breakfast burrito looked better). My tiny Bloody Mary was $13, We saw friends & family of the artist get Bloody Mary glasses 2x bigger. Not sure if those were the same price. Three stars for cute venue, but otherwise find a place with better food & drinks. The artist they hired (someone named Julia) had a nice voice but was extremely unfriendly and kept repeatedly hawking badly...

The Grey Eagle is my favorite venue in Asheville! I suggest going early and getting some food which is fresh & delicious! They have the best empanadas I've had anywhere seriously! I can't speak for the rest of the food cuz I'm hooked on the empanadas, but it looks good! I'm going to have to force myself next time I go to eat something different I'm sure it will not disappoint. Every show I've been to there has been excellent! This night was a tribute to John Prine. Excellent show - excellent musicians they did not disappoint.
