My husband and I took a trip to Ashland to see a concert. Fat Patty's was conveniently located across the street from our hotel. We ate a late luch/early dinner our first night. I got the Patty Melt, sans mushrooms, which was really good, but could have used a little sauce. I know the mushrooms would have provided that had I of gotten them, but it was still good. My husband got the Cowboy Burger which he said was delicious and messy, but worth it! I got the fries which were amazing and he got the coleslaw, which was good but not great. (We are both very picky about our coleslaw) It was happy hour, so we both got beers. Service was great. Our waiter was attentive & friendly. At one point, my husband spilled his drink, both the hostess & our waiter rushed over to help clean up. One of my favorite things about this restaurant was the 90's music playing over the speaker! Bush, Live, Foo Fighters, Blue October, & Dave Matthew's Band, just to name a few. Such a good feeling being able to enjoy good food while listening to good music! Such a fun, cool, relaxing place. I only wished they had, "Fat Patty's, Bite This!" stickers! That would be cool! Stop in at Fat Patty's next time you're in the area, we definitely!

I came in after driving 5 hours on my way home from an exhausting weekend, wanting nothing more than to bite into a hamburger from a place I’d never been to before and had always wanted to try! The burger was absolutely wonderful… Juicy, flavorful, and substantial. Onion rings were the same. The server was also super friendly, quick, and very attentive. Why only four stars? Holy smokes. The hostess who met me at the door… she was visibly annoyed to see me walk in, begrudgingly took out an air pod from whatever she was watching on her phone, and seemed genuinely unhappy to have to get up to seat me. Tossed the menu on the table and said ‘there you go’ in a very short tone and walked back to her station to resume what she was watching. In fact, I’m still here as I write this, and she is still watching a video. Wow. I mean, I get it. Everyone has an off day. But man, first impressions are EVERYTHING. Luckily everything went up from there. Maybe sone retraining is warranted? Super good food though. If I’m driving through again, I’ll probably be back. Hopefully she smiles next time, haha.

Decided to pick this place and eat with family today. We had to seat ourself. We had to wait 20 mins to even see someone come to our table to get a drink. Then we put our order in immediately and still had to wait 30 mins or longer. But meanwhile I asked for a low carb burger. So I was told it's not on the menu now and the ONLY way of getting it is to do an upcharge of $1.99 and receive a salad. Bullcrap! Then when we got the fries they were cold. Had to wait on another bucket to be fixed and brought out. I'm more mad over the burger and having to pay more when all they had to do was put lettuce on the top and bottom of my burger without the bread. Why the heck did I have to pay for a salad just to get lettuce when it comes on the cheeseburger anyways!!!! Attached is what my sandwich should of looked like and the second and third pic is what it looked like when I got it. I piece of lettuce and the top and bottom. I will never ever eat at this place again!!

Fat Patty’s is a very good bar or a very good family restaurant, unfortunately it mixes the mark a bit trying to be both at least at this location. To clarify the issue isn’t rowdiness just noise level from the bar tends to bleed into the restaurant more than usual causing an increase in the loudness of the tables In generally. We were seated next to two young ladies that were actually almost screaming at each other as their conversation. It was just a little much. The food was good classic bar food. The hamburgers were well prepared with just a hint of a gas grill (which I like). The appetizers were standard quality, but had some nice variations. The service was top of the line. Great place to stop for a beer and a burger, but unless the kids enjoy a loud bar scene might want to skip on family night.

Made a reservation online, because the website offered it. Table of 5 for a pretty big celebration. Got there, 10 minutes early, to find out that reservations are not accepted. Even though I had the confirmation number in which I mentioned to one of the two ladies at the door. I was pretty much told too bad. At that time I asked how long of a wait. 6 people were ahead of us. We live about 25 minutes away, made a special trip to this location and were basically told we could take it or leave it. I dont even think we got an apology and if we did it was NOT sincere. We went to Applebees down the street to EXCELLENT service and dropped $200 with a very generous tip. I will never go back to this location if ANY location again.

Oh boy do I love Fat Patty’s. I have been coming here for a decade plus in Kentucky and West Virginia. I have never been to this location but it has a more appropriate burger bar feel. The Olympics were on and the mood was just great to have some drinks and watch the games and have good conversation. Everyone was pleasant and I spoke with a few of the locals who were also friendly. The server was wonderful and was on top of it. The cheddar bacon fries are a must and every burger is a good choice. I’ve had them all. Never a bad experience here, ever.
