The food and wait staff were good. I gave 2 stars because of management and how she handled a discrepancy in the restaurants advertising. The chalkboard sign with specials written on it as soon as you enter the front door had incorrect advertising on it, and she didn't want to honor it after being asked about it. The sign said half price appetizers from 4-7 (we ate dinner around 6:00). My family and I ordered two appetizers, and when we got our bill, they had not been discounted. I asked our waitress about it and she replied our menu has changed. I told her that that is not what the specials board reads out front, and that isn't right to have that posted if it's not being honored. She replied, "I will tell my manager, and let her know your concerns." A few minutes later, a woman manager came to tell me that their menu had changed and not all appetizers were included in that. I explained it says nothing about certain items being included in that deal that it just reads half price appetizers from 4-7. She replied "Well, it is only certain ones and you can't get all of them on the menu for half price" I ask her how was I supposed to know this information, and how many other customers sitting in her restaurant had ordered appetizers and weren't aware they were not going to get the deal they were advertising? I also then told her that was misleading and was false advertising that it needed to be specified with an astric or a list of approved items. She said, "OK, let me go talk to one of my other managers," which I replied alright. She came back to inform me that she was going to honor it this time, but the next time FYI that I needed to ask before I ordered about the specials. I then said, "No, it's not my job to inform myself, or guess what your specials are. It's your job to make sure your sign clearly states what is, and isn't offered in your specials" She replied, "It's being taken care of right now." I agreed that that was a good idea, and that it would probably save her a lot of time and trouble for the rest of her evening from other customers noticing the same issue. I paid my correct bill, thanked them, and went on my way. Might I add that at this point it wasn't about the 6-7 dollars off I received from the advertised special, it was her demeanor, and the fact that she didn't want to take ownership or responsibility for a mistake her...
Read moreYesterday was my first and will be the last time in that place, I arrived with high expectations due to a recommendation from my guest’s family about best burgers in town. Well mind you, I love to eat at local restaurants, specially when they’re “known for their quality” so I invited my guest over and went there… we ordered for appetizers the pretzels with a jalapeño cheese sauce (was salty, but still delicious) and mozzarella sticks (frozen burnt supermarket trash) because they ran out of Mac n cheese bites… main order was their “famous dish” a double cheeseburger with bacon X2. And here our nightmare started, first impression it looked bland (the only fresh thing on them “burgers” was the lettuce) buns were burnt dry and HARD, patties were BURNT, not overcooked… literally hard like a piece of flip-flop sandal, and to top that not even a bit of flavor. At the first bite, I knew something wasn’t right, so I open the thing and it didn’t even had mayonnaise on it (I would assume, I’d be even worse at rush hour). Side dishes were fries (they were acceptable but no better than something you can buy at your chain neighborhood market) and the onion rings, again BURNT… our experience was so disastrous that we had to ask for to-go boxes so the waitress won’t feel bad. She did a very good job, but the kitchen team must stop the (pre cook practice) because it’ll take the place to the ruins. To whomever is reading this review, please remember if we as customers go to your establishments to dine in, we rather have fresh food made to order, than something that was standing in the warm plate of the grill for the past 4 hours. The one star rating is for the waitress, That made sure we were taken care off, she earned her 20% in her two interventions! The food,...
Read moreAbsolutely atrocious service. Treated like garbage and by the manager- Brooke herself. We were not seeking a refund, comped meal or otherwise. We we simply asked where our food was after waiting forever for it and when we asked for that was when it all went downhill. Upon leaving it began to storm and I wasn’t comfortable driving in the weather so we returned to wait out the storm. I had two small children with me, one of which has special needs and a sensory disorder so the intensity of the storm had her very afraid and upset. Despite how we were treated we returned to grab another drink and wait. We were ignored as others were coming in after us and were promptly seated. We felt this was unnecessary and rude. When we asked to be seated we were met with a bad attitude from the hostess- when we finally complained again we said we didn’t feel we were being treated kindly. The manager then gaslit us and said ‘well I’m the one who brought your food out and she was not. Our server brought out our food, so whey she felt the need to lie directly to our faces is beyond me. Maybe being. Manager of a restaurant gives her a feeling of superiority. I had spent 80 dollars. Picked up food for other friends and the waitress was given 20 dollars as a tip. I felt this was sufficient. Maybe she wanted more. Have never been so insulted in an establishment in all my life and will never return. The experience was so bizarre my friends vow to not return again either....
