I can’t rate the food because I ended up getting a refund. I’m a truck driver and I’ve walked to this location from the TA before, that time the service was fair to middling but nothing spectacular. This time however, including tip I ordered around $25 worth of food. I sat down to wait for my order and went to get some sweet tea. There was only water coming out so I informed the employees that it needed refilled, they said they would. I waited a while longer, still no order, then went to check it and still no sweat tea. I advised a different employee, he said he would take care of it. Finally got my order and went to check again and still no sweet tea. I went back to the counter and a guy working the grill asked what I needed, I told him about the tea. He paused a mimen and responded that they were out. It would’ve been simpler to just inform your customers when they order, or at least the first or second time they inform you of the issue. Between that and the general uncleanliness of the whole place (it smelled like BO) I told them I was going to need a refund. They refunded my money and said sorry. Yes, this Five Guys location is sorry. This is the only bad location I’ve been to, that’s the hell of it. Whoever the manager is should be replaced...
Read moreAbsolutely the most expensive five guys I’ve ever seen it was as if I was trapped in an airport or something. I bought a cheeseburger and a regular fries and it came to over $21. Ended up throwing away the fries because they were oversalted to the point they were crunchy with salt. I love five guys and I was so excited to have one come to my small town of Ashland, so imagine my disappointment. For $21 it should’ve came with a beer or a milkshake or at least a soft drink Especially considering there’s at least six restaurants known for their burgers within a mile of this place that are in at least half the price. I guess they don’t care about the local population and they’re only banking on 95 traffic because the locals here have options and they don’t have a lot of money to waste, ashland has a somewhat economically challenged population and they really really miss the mark. Don’t be fooled by all the five star reviews. They are excited because they pulled off the highway and they went to a brand new store. Of course it’s clean. The locals cannot afford to eat here and they know that have way better options across the street at places like cookout and Fuddruckers. This place won’t...
Read moreI’m upgrading my previous review since these guys have noticeably improved over the last few months. The food is good now. I still recommend you order your fries light on salt but I’m happy to say that now they actually prepare them that way!
Original review: I am a burger lover and huge Five Guys advocate. This particular relatively new location however, continues to disappoint me. Maybe they just haven’t found rhythm yet, but the burgers lack oomph, and the fries here (see photo) are always over cooked or cooked in old oil and are ridiculously over salted. Today my fries were so effing salted down I took them up and got them replaced. A few minutes later they handed me a warmer, but identically over salted batch. I was too worn out, psychologically, to complain again. Don’t come here if you’re in a hurry or if you have carpel tunnel. You will have to use two fingers on each fry individually as you eat in order to remove enough salt to not get high blood pressure or saline poisoning...
