Sea's Bounty Seafood & Chicken — Restaurant in Ashland

I've driven by this restaurant multiple times but didn't pay much attention to it until I looked at the reviews, which were very good. However, I was disappointed overall and will not return. I'm going to give my positives and negatives for this place. The food looked fried well and fresh, but that's where it ended for me. I wanted to order the four item Sea's Bounty Mix Platter, but strangely, they wouldn't let me order double of any item and suggested getting an a la carte of an extra item. The 3 item platter is $25 and the 4 item is $30. I was not going to spend another $11 to do that. I opted for the 3 item platter. The fries tasted like they were fried in the same old grease as the chicken and fish. The chicken wings were tiny and bland. The catfish looked really good, but along with the shrimp, there was no seasoning/flavor. It was simply fried food! The lady behind the counter asked if I wanted any of the lemon pepper seasoning which she said was very good. I didn't want on top of everything, so I asked for some in a side container and she said they didn't have one. Maybe it's me, but I thought was strange. I also asked for cocktail sauce and they didn't have that either. What kind of fast food seafood restaurant doesn't have cocktail sauce? I've heard/seen many more good reviews than bad and we traveled 40 min to get there, so maybe it was an off day for them however, I called an order in 25 min before we got there, they didn't take a name, tell me how long it would be or how much it would be, ok no problem. They also didnt have any sides available, bummer but also fine. When we got there, they hadn't even started our order so we waited for about 15 min, no biggie. Then, my husband saw them put the entire seafood carryout box into the microwave before handing it over. The shrimp could barely be peeled and the recovered pieces were mush. This was our third visit to Sea Bounty, and once again, they exceeded our expectations! Every meal we’ve had here has been consistently delicious, and this visit was no exception.

We enjoyed a variety of dishes this time: perfectly seasoned catfish, tender shrimp, and crispy chicken tenders, along with fresh hush puppies, gooey mozzarella sticks, and flavorful fried mushrooms. Everything was cooked to order, ensuring it was hot, fresh, and seasoned just right.

The attention to quality and flavor here is unmatched. If you're looking for a spot where every bite feels like it’s made with care, Sea Bounty is it. Highly recommend, and we’ll definitely be back for more!
