The team at Lodge Kohler hosted an after hours cocktail reception in the Leaps & Bounds Space for our company in conjunction with a conference in town, and they exceeded EVERY expectation. The planning was last minute on our end, and we were unsure of the number of guests we would have at the event (estimate was anywhere from 20-50). With easily 60 guests coming through, the Lodge Kohler team did not miss a beat. Nathan was our All-Star bartender at the event, and he was able to get some additional staff support and increase our food order with some great options. I am sure this was stressful, but our guests were none-the-wiser thanks to Nathan, who was putting out instagram-able drinks with efficiency and Abigail, who was coordinating with the kitchen to accommodate more hungry guests.
It is rare to see a team with this level of poise and professionalism handle a fluid event with this many changing variables, and to say we're impressed is an understatement! The event was a blast, the food, drinks and intimate venue were fantastic, and the Leaps & Bounds Space was well equipped for a memorable "high-end" cocktail reception with some Green & Gold flare. Read moreFour of us had stayed at the hotel so we figured it we might as well have breakfast there before we left. It's a bit pricier than many coffee shops. You order at the window and they bring your food out. It took a LONG time to get our meals and the place wasn't that busy. The french toast was good as were the popovers. The breakfast sandwich was just OK. It had a huge amount of arugula on it and was a bit runny and hard to eat. As far as we could tell, there were no refills on coffee. If there were, it wasn't widely advertised. The eating area(s) are sort of scattered around and there aren't a lot of tables so you might find yourself eating standing up. Overall not bad but not worth the $50+...
Read moreNot bad, or terrible in anyway. Just not as exciting as I'd been hearing about. Food was ok. Again, not bad, just not great. Wife had a latte, I had the chocolate mocha. Have had better. Prices were a little higher than most other coffee shops. Was expecting that with the outward appearance of everything. The building itself is something worth seeing. Very impressive. Gives a high end feel. The staff was great. Very friendly. Don't have a feeling we'll be back. Not because it sucked, mostly because we've been to better drink/food places...
