I'll start off simple and quick for those of you just looking for a win. Best most correctly seared/cooked steak I have had from any restaurant in more than a decade, save one other. But that was a completely different atmosphere on a completely different kind of date night. So not truly a 'steak place' at all. However, if what you're looking for is a great steak, give this place a try. As for my 5 start, I never went to the restroom, so when we go back again I am going to make it a point. If you don't see any updates to my review by September then just rest assured they've done a good job there as well. My wife and I have been searching fancy steak boasting restaurants every so often, not as often as we would have liked because we kept striking out however... But we went on a couple's dinner date with some friends of ours and we had a great time. The food wasn't hours and HOURS away from the table, our drinks were well kept without being pestered too often, our server was energetic, but realistic. She provided a nice encounter and she was attentive for breaks in our conversations. The 5 stars on the food is simply dead on the head. Now, if you want a quiet whisper tone environment, this is not that place. But it wasn't 'too much' at all. The dinning room is very well arranged so that you and your party are able to have an out loud kind of dinner date without the worry of bothering too many other people, nor of having their evening sitting at your table. It isn't "quiet" but it also is not Chukee Cheese 😆 All of this on an evening when nearly every table was filled at any given moment, no breaks. And we were made to feel comfortable to have our time together as if the bill we paid also reflected their appreciation of our patronage. No rushing us, and no questions about whether or not our time was coming to an end etc.. So that's a bit impressive if you ask me. I really tend to only rate the big name restaurants if they were absolutely awful, or absolutely we would return. And we will definitely return here. If you're looking for a price rundown? Our table totaled 3 appetizers, 4 drinks, 4 main dishes (all steak meals) and 2 extras, and we still managed a little under $110 per couple including our tip, I think in total we left around $36. It was well worth a $36 thank you to our server for certain, if this had been a visit on a holiday we would have...
Read moreSorry for such a long post, but when I give a poor review, I think it deserves an explanation. We’ve always been big fans of Longhorn Steakhouse, and though it’s not a weekly thing, we visit often. (That’s the only reason for the second star). Unfortunately, our last three experiences have led me to actually write a review. In today’s world I understand that staffing is a major problem for the food service industry, but like any other challenge, how you meet the challenge tells the story. Longhorn has unfortunately disappointed us for the last time. First of our past three visits, while waiting at the bar for our table (one hour wait in a half empty restaurant), the bar tender would not even acknowledge us for nearly ten minutes at a practically empty bar. We actually gave up and ate elsewhere that night. Second of the three visits, though we did get served, our steaks were so over seasoned the no amount of drink could wash it down. Refills were hard to come by and our concerns over the seasoning were more or less shrugged off. And now today, strike three. In calling ahead for a table of eleven(four hours ahead), I was informed that they were very busy already, were not taking call ahead seating requests any longer and there would be a two hour wait once our party arrived. All of those points likely being very real, the whole issue I have is how the delivery of the message was so very rude and as if we should be lucky to get a table. We’ll, I’m sorry Longhorn, but you’re not the only restaurant in town. Our party of eleven will be drinking, dining and leaving more than our automatic 18% gratuity at another local restaurant tonight and from now on. Even though our wait time may be no better elsewhere, I can guarantee the...
Read moreHow ironic. I was there long enough for google to know I was there, 50 minutes, but I never made it inside to eat.
So here is how that went. Opened the door. Gave the hostess my name and when she asked for it, my phone number so she/they could text me when the table was ready. Wait time of 20 minutes I was told.
10 minutes later hostess comes outside and has a heated discussion on her phone while smoking a pink in color vape.
20 minutes later, 30 minutes total time on scene, and multiple people were seated ahead of us. Check with the hostess again. She had inputted the wrong number she said. Other hostess or staff member of some form says, "I'm sorry, your table will be ready in 5 minutes, you're next." As Maury would say, "That was a lie."
20 minutes later and still more people went in so we left. Never received the text so I imagine I'm still next up for a table.
Here is a tip. Have your guests write their number down so that whomever is at the front will have no reason to input their number incorrectly. Another tip, follow through on what you say. If an error occurs fix it. I've worked in food service so I'm forgiving but the greater problem is knowing an error or lapse occurred and still not fixing it. Compounding errors will lose you customers faster than any single issue.
I hear there is some good food there but heck if I know. I did leave a great tip and review for the Grubhub driver who brought my...
