Interesting day! We ordered lunch from this place and what happens next is what you read. Very disappointing, makes me angry but anger is not a solution.

Our order at approx 2:45 pm on Dec 9th; Veggie Lover's Pizza (without mushroom) & Cheese sub sandwich (without mustard & lettuce; cooked onions instead of raw), and old bay fries.

My husband specifically asked regarding the onions and when the store associate told us they add "raw", he requested "cooked" and order was placed.

Then he brought the order home, pizza was made to order; but sandwich has "raw" onions. We called and the associate read our order back to us (cooked onions) and then put us on Hold. After 2 minutes, someone named Chris came on the phone and said that we serve this sandwich with raw onions only. He also lied that the order has "raw" instead of "cooked". Anyway, he kept going in circles around the order.

I spoke to Chris and is politely said that instead of beating around the bush, he could have just said that "i apologize"; you can bring the sandwich back and we will make the order correctly. Instead, he had the audacity of saying " WE ARE NOT IN THE BUSINESS OF GIVING AWAY FREE FOOD". He also said, we don't give any refunds. I asked him the manager's name and he declined to provide that & then he hung up on me.

I was appalled at this behavior, but as i said before anger is not the solution. His response makes me think that since we are people of color, he presumes that we want "free food"? I don't want to really go in that direction, but i am forced to assume. We understand that businesses are hurting because of the pandemic and would have gladly paid for the correct sandwich, but "free food". HOW!!!

Chris, let me tell you something; people should always come first and "Customers are always right". Please don't assume that people are complaining because they want free food; because people like you are not capable of feeding anyone. However, people like me and my husband are very much capable and do help the ones in need in a way that you never will be able to.

This complaint will be shared with the local government authorities, as a reminder that we all need to be respectful of one another and always serve and understand customers with respect. I am sure reading my complaint, a few people will shy away from ordering the food; however, i would say to them... Don't. The food is good, only Chris...

Their calzones are excellent! Great dough cooked to golden perfection with the yummy surprise of the delicious filling. These take the longest to prepare, so if you don't have the time to wait, don't order these. You don't rush perfection.

Their pasta dishes are also excellent, their alfredo and vodka sauces are personal favorites. Their red sauce is really good - just short of excellent because they use green peppers in their sauce which gives it an extra flavor. If you like that flavor cooked into your sauce, you will love theirs. Their pizza is yummy as well, with a good ratio of crust, sauce, cheese and toppings.

Where they fall short is in their subs. They used to have really excellent Italian sub rolls with a wonderful crisp crust but several years ago the switched to what they are using now. It is a softer crust and the bread inside is not as fine. But give them a try. Fillings are really good so you might find yourself craving the Italian Cold Cut like I used to do.

Staff is really great. Very friendly and willing to make something not on their menu with the ingredients they have on hand and charge a fair price.

If you go to the shop, they have 4 booths if you want to eat in. I love the atmosphere because they have a selection of Italian goods in store that you can look over, killing the time it takes to get the food ready. They also have a big selection of menu items that you can take home for your freezer. It smells like an Italian deli. If you frequent them, you know what I mean. There is ample, easy parking.

Best part - they deliver! They use their own drivers! I don't know if they use any of the other food delivery services because I've always been in their very generous delivery radius. They deliver to Olney. Not too...

I just had a terrible experience at Angelo's. I've been going to this place for years and today I was treated so rudely I'm never going to go back there again and a lot of my employees like to go there for lunch and I'm going to tell my employees not to go there anymore either. I was sitting in the restaurant enjoying my pizza when one of their employees came in and demanded that I move my truck from where it was parked. I drive a large crew cab work truck and I couldn't find a parking space that would allow my truck in it easily so it's a dry day and I was parked a little bit into the grass median in front of their restaurant, this woman about had a heart attack and scolded me. She didn't ask nicely for me to remove my truck she demanded that I go out there and remove it right then and there. Their parking lot is not very friendly to work trucks it's very small and it's really made for compact cars, I guess they don't want workman's business if you're driving a larger vehicle and you can't find parking. I'll just find someplace else to go for lunch...

Good steak n cheese, the store is clean and the cake and desserts are good. The staff has been nice, the fries are aight just not worth the price tag. In more recent times the establishment is putting more of a push with online ordering (when you call you have to listen to an automated message pressing the online order process) also, most places nowadays do the “oh the screen will ask you some questions” line in regards to tipping even when picking up yourself. However this place, they will blatantly in your face ask you for a tip when PICKING UP your food, it’s extremely awkward. The consistency on different subs isn’t 100% either but pizza is good. Honestly it started at 5 stars although now it’s 3 and definitely likely to head somewhere else to not deal with the call process and the friendly yet extremely blunt way of asking for tips while picking up. Ehh sorry guys

This is one of those restaurants that I have to take everyone to the first time they visit the area. I have been all over this country, and have even visited some of the famous Italian delis in New York. Angelo’s dwarfs them all. I have been out of the country for the past three years, and this was the first place I went when I got back. Their sandwiches are perfect and the staff is always so friendly, you can’t help but feel at home. One of the few places left where you can get a combo for under $20 and receive a filling portion. Can’t remember the last time I had leftovers, but today I did. I don’t know who decides when a place becomes a landmark, but in my book they are a true cornerstone!

Wow. I had a very good time here. I met a customer, Carl aka lefty, and an employee, Aisha. What a lovely atmosphere and so welcoming. Aisha is a doll and such a lovely person. She treated Carl and I as family. And thank you for donating pizza to Life Connection Mission for all of the volunteers working at our yearly yard sale at St. Patrick’s Church and school. This visit with Carl and Aisha made my day. I felt so happy. I gave Carl and Aisha a hug before I left. Thank you Aisha for making customers smile and feel welcomed. Who ever the owner is Aisha deserves recognition. Thanks again. This is me and Carl.
