I'm new in town and received a "Welcome to Astoria" coupon from Sahara inviting me to try a three topping pizza. That was a nice gesture. It's nice to be welcomed to a new place, and I'm sure, it's good for business in the long term. I ordered over the phone. Whoever took my order was pleasant, well informed, and made helpful suggestions for what I might enjoy. I have that habit. When I try a new place, I ask an employee, "If you were making this for your self, how would you do it?" This is a great way to get unique twists from any happening restaurant. My over-the-phone-order-taker spoke highly of the pizzas they serve and thought I might want to keep it simple. An excellent idea! I stuck with pepperoni, sausage, and green peppers. The pizza was made on time, delivered to me outside the restaurant piping hot. I took it home and was pleasantly satisfied to find a well crafted and hearty crust, fresh ingredients amply decorating the surface of the pizza, a healthy amount of good mozzarella cheese, a tasty sauce, and a chewy-but-not-overdone final product. I don't eat out often due to budget constraints, but I will frequent Sahara Pizza when I do. Based on my one experience there, I can highly...

We decided to try this place the other day for the first time. The pizza was amazing the only disappointment they were out of large pizza 🍕 crust leaving us with less leftovers. Not sure what the pizza crust shortage at 5pm on a Friday was about but kinda odd. Sad because your pizza is amazing hot and cold. I had to chase down my side of ranch and the guy acted like my missing ranch was coming out of his check 🤷🏼‍♀️ The staff could be a little more friendly and personable and didn't come off as super friendly or helpful. The place was a bit dingy needed a good spring cleaning 🧽 I've witnessed employees on other occasions ripping bong hits in their cars on the street while out exploring the city which kinda always made we wonder about actually trying this place but hey potheads should make a good pizza 🍕 Will I go back probably they serve up a decent pizza for the price and it was done pretty fast. Just another...

We were really looking forward to trying this place. We own multiple pizza restaurants out of town and look forward to traveling and trying new places. I hate leaving this review because as an owner I know staffing these days is so hard. But, I have never walked into a restaurant & been treated more rude. The guy behind the bar was so short with us and slamming stuff around and hitting the keys in his POS super hard and he was clearly angry and didn’t want to provide any customer service what- so- ever or answer any of our questions. So we left. Which we never do unless it is extremely out of line. We run a pizza group in the northwest that has around 200 pizza restaurant owners, we all get together and spread the word and travel around to support other businesses like our own. Bummer I won’t be able to tell anyone about this place. I would never keep someone on who treated any customer in...

I'm honestly impressed because I do not expect good pizza on the west coast but this place was really solid! The crust is nice and not overly bready, good ratio of toppings, and enough cheese to satisfy any insta-fluencer's need for cheese pulls. It was a nice deviation from the ubiquitous fish and chips that dominate the restaurant scene in this town and I'd definitely recommend it!

Hole-in-the-wall pizza shops are always the best, Sahara is no different. Top shelf ingredients and creative combinations on top of an amazing crust make for one of my family's best pizza experiences yet. We don't come to Astoria all that often but we'll definitely be coming back to Sahara again!

We have driven by and decided to stop on a Friday evening. Not too busy and inside was spacious. Order was taken and delivered in a reasonable amount of time. Presentation was great but overall food taste didn’t match presentation. Our curiosity was satisfied
