Although the food we had was good, we were very disappointed with the menu options. I had researched the menu and was very much looking forward to a particular appetizer and entree. When we got there (st. Patrick's day) we were told there was a special menu for the holiday and that was the only option for the night. I am not a huge fan of corned beef, Brussel sprouts and shepherd's pie. We had a few questions about the menu and the waiter couldn't answer them. We were there for over two hours and although the bands playing were good, it made for a too long dinner. You seat yourself for dinner but there is a host stand before you enter. I am not sure, maybe because it was a holiday, but they were charging $10 to even enter. The process of coming in was confusing. Maybe the host just assumed most people were regulars. She didn't really explain things, just said, "$10 each" to which I replied we just want to eat dinner (we were staying at the hotel). Thankfully, another employee was standing by and informed us that hotel guests didn't have to pay...
Read moreThis is a small music venue. I go for the music. Skip the food. Menu selections are limited, poorly executed and pricey. Eat before you go. It is really a shame. You can book tables to guarantee seating for a show, but the fried pickles are probably the best thing on the menu. Don't expect napkins if you order wings and tacos. Bartenders are wonderful. Be wary of the times that the Foundry posts on their own websites for the start time of shows. Twice in four months they changed the time on their own page while patrons sat at their tables. Really? An hour of trivia postpones the start of a film? On another occasion, band members were set up and waiting when the schedule was pushed back. Provide better food instead of making us feel stranded in an airport waiting for delayed flights. I enjoyed my meals there when it was The Melting Point. Go for the music.Go...
Read moreThe Foundry is AMAZING! The only issue right now is that it's only open for events or UGA home games. Still, it's an amazing place to go. It's located at the Hotel, The Graduate and they have the most amazing rooms, suites and, well, history. I'll leave that to you to research because that's half the fun. Staying here is worth the coin, I will warn you though, it's a bit difficult to find the driveway. GPS WILL take you the wrong way. Both Android and Apple. It's just at the end of Dougherty St at the light, when you take that left, take an IMMEDIATE left BEFORE the road splits. There's a TINY turn lane there that you'll probably miss the first time. If you don't, here's a medal 🥇. Anyway, you'll love the place and hopefully, they'll open up the Melting...
