Taco Bell at 1112 Jefferson St SE, Athens, AL 35611
Upon pulling up to the DRIVE-THRU speaker,(before I could even get a word out or my order given, before a "hello", before anything), I was IMMEDIATELY informed via a male voice with an aggravated tone stating, "The only meat we have available is CHICKEN!" Now I was on my phone via Bluetooth and had paused the conversation during the process of ordering and simply replied, "You said the only meat you have is chicken?" Just to make sure I heard this correctly. To which the same aggravated male tone responded "Yes, so if you order anything it has to be chicken cuz that's all we got left!" I then asked, "Can I get a Chicken Quesadilla?" I got answered back with, "Yeah. $5.88". So I drive around to the drive-thru window to pay. I continued with my conversation on the phone until the window opened, told my friend to "hold on" and was told "$5.88", and handed a young lady my card to pay and smiled and kept talking once the window closed. When she opened the window again I said "Hold on" again to my friend and she handed me my card back with the Taco Bell bag right after, I sat it in my passenger seat, and said, "Thank you, have a great night!". She responded, "You, too". I departed. When I got home I started my nightly routine of settling in and sat down to eat what I THOUGHT was going to be my Chicken Quesadilla.....NOPE! I'm guessing they told me all they had was CHICKEN in hopes that I would just drive away and they could close and go home because what I got was nothing even REMOTELY CLOSE to chicken. I honestly don't even know WHAT this item was called. It had nachos on the bottom followed by tomato, sour cream, cheese, and on top.....🤦🏽♀️......BEEF! Now mind you it wasn't FRESH beef either. This was like somebody during their shift decided to take a "mess-up-order" home, and instead of making my CHICKEN Quesadilla they just decided to throw me this disgusting-looking nacho thing with really old BEEEEEEF! This WAS at 12:59, according to my receipt, and I immediately became aware that maybe this was PAYBACK for coming so late...which still isn't right. Honestly, when you get off work as late as I do, there's not exactly a PLETHORA OF OPTIONS. So I chose Taco Bell whose whole SLOGAN is "OPEN LATE"! Hence, the reason I chose this establishment! Never again! Not THIS location anyway. This mockery of a Taco Bell is NOTHING SHORT OF A TERRIBLY RUN BUSINESS IN NEED OF NEW MANAGEMENT AND ETHICAL EMPLOYEES WHO CARE HOW A CUSTOMER IS TREATED, AT THIS ADDRESS IT IS NOT AN ESTABLISHMENT I RECOMMEND TO ANYONE MUCH LESS SOMEONE I CARE ABOUT. I WOULD FEAR FOR THEIR HEALTH AND SAFETY AS WHAT I RECEIVED WAS BOTH WRONG AND THE MOST UNHEALTHY-LOOKING SPECIMEN THAT'D BARELY PASS AS EDIBLE TO ENTER THIS ATMOSPHERE. Not to MENTION THE ATTITUDE AND PURE DISREGARD FOR CUSTOMER SATISFACTION OR EVEN SERVICE FOR THAT MATTER. There was an absence of BOTH with this short(in height AND temper), bald, heavy-set, "Team Leader" who had the AGGRESSIVE EGO of a NEANDERTHAL and the people skills of a HORSE FLY! I don't remember his name, I just remember telling him the situation, I'm pretty sure it started with a J...I didn't zone in on his info, I honestly didn't give him THAT much thought after the way he behaved like he was the KING of Taco Bell empire and ANYONE WITH A COMPLAINT SHALL NOT BE DEALT WITH BUT TOLD TO LEAVE DUE TO ONLY HIS NEEDS AND HIS EGO-STROKING BEING IMPORTANT in that place of business...I was COMPLETELY disappointed in this eatery. He was THAT GUY, he said, "My managers told me not to remake it, that's my STORY and I'm not changing my mind cuz I aint got to and you can just leave MY store cuz I say so...so you gots 5 seconds to leave MY STORE!"...🤔...pretty sure a manager wouldn't tell you to say THAT to a customer. I work security and it's sad to say we have TOO MANY EGOTISTICAL AND POWER HUNGRY MEN ON THE JOB. Which is probably why this hit home. There was NO ice at the soft drink fountain, and apparently had not been for some time. There was NO ice available to the customer anywhere without waiting for the only counter order taker to take the drink cup and fill it in the back. The order taker gave me my cup without ice, apparently thinking I would not notice when ice did not come from the drink dispenser. He waited until taking two later orders before taking the cups for these three separate orders to the back for the ice. The rest of my order was ready several minutes before I finally got some ice. The drink was then only about half-filled with ice, less than needed for the room temperature tea dispensers. At this TB the SWEET and UNSWEET tea dispensers are not always maintained in the same location, so it is easy to get sweet tea from the dispenser that was the day before unsweet...a bad condition for diabetic customers. The misfilled drink could not be dumped because THERE WAS NO ICE AVAILABLE in the dining area and there was a waiting period for the counter guy to provide ice to customers. There were almost no drink covers at the fountain.
This unnecessary gross hassle just to fill a drink with ice indicates that the owners and manager of this franchise are careless or worse. It reflects badly on the franchiser. What else is being done wrong at this location?

When I approached the window she didn’t speak handed me my drinks like I was bothering her, she handed my food barely out the window never said thank you or anything for that matter. I pulled up to check my order and realized that I was over charged, I then went in and was told they didn’t over charge me even though my bank sends me a text with purchase price every time my card is slid. I asked for the name of the manager and the window worker the manager said her name was Rashell and she refused to give the other workers name. I asked for the corporate number and was told they don’t give that out, I then proceeded to my car where I called the Madison Taco Bell and was given Wayne Thompson’s phone number I then called him and received nothing but excuses as to why things were handled the way they were,I was told to wait 24 hours to see if my bank had put a fee on my card. I have been to this Taco Bell a thousand times and never had problems that Jeff didn’t handle on the spot! Worse service EVER!
