Thai House — Restaurant in Athens

Having lived in Bangkok for 6 years and traveled extensively within Thailand, I am very familiar with great Thai cuisine... I have tried most of the Thai restaurants in East Tenn.and Western NC...I also cook Thai food at home.This unassuming Thai restaurant is a Gem!... It is smallish...the interior and decor is nondescript BUT...the Food is excellent, with fresh, perfectly prepared vegetables and meat ( I had Panang Chicken curry)...It is some of the best Thai cooking in the South. The wait staff had the exceptional warmth and friendliness of the real Thai culture. The orders (4) were delivered ....with no delays, no mistakes, and a warm and fun manner. My lunch mates were also impressed with the quality of the food, the service and the fair price.

When I start to miss Thailand ( happening more often these days) I now have a place to get authentic great Thai food and to practice my laughable language skills ( It's a very hard language) This unsolicited, unpaid, review is my honest opinion. PS... Bathroom was...

Absolutely lovely place. Very small, with few seats, but that's not usually a problem, unless you have a big group.

I was very pleased with the Thai Tea and the Red Curry. It was absolute comfort food, for me. Even the rice was just about perfect. My friend had the Pad Thai, for his first visit here, and loved it.

The only complaint he had was he wished the Togo cups for the boba were bigger, but other than that, it was exactly what we needed.

I hope this place keeps busy and sticks around. I've been looking forward to my next visit, as I've been craving that curry and tea...

We stopped in here for the first time and were so happy to see the previous reviews were true. We had never tried Thai food. The service was excellent. I didn’t catch her name, but she was informative and polite. My bf has a gluten allergy and she was very helpful with explaining what’s safe (which is almost all the menu) and knowledgeable about how things were prepared in the BOH. I ordered the green curry and it was delicious and fresh. I wish we lived closer to this establishment. Will definitely come back if we’re nearby. My only complaint is that it is a...
