The people in the store are very nice & helpful. However, when there they didn't appear to know what they had in stock. They told us they had the phone we wanted, then after waiting for their time-delayed safe to open it turned out they didn't. No big deal, they said we can order the phone & it would be in 2-3 days, but maybe a week. My wife's phone screen is broken, but still mostly functions so what is a few days wait to get the phone she wants? So we ordered & paid for the phone & they said they would text us when it came in. After 2 weeks of not hearing anything I tried to call, but couldn't get through to the store after 15 min on hold, so I got rerouted twice to a remote customer service representative. I explained that I wanted to check if it had come in as we were leaving on vacation. The rep said she couldn't tell me if the phone arrived without my account pin. I was driving & didn't remember off the top of my head, so she couldn't tell me anything but if I went into the store they could tell me. That defeats the purpose of the call. I was told though that I couldn't pick up the phone at a different store because I already paid for it in Athens. Considering I already bought the phone & it was delayed in coming in due to stocking issues & general confusion, it seems that they could transfer a phone cost from one store to another to provide good customer service. Read moreA Friend went in to buy a new phone,ta man that was there was very fulfill in helping her pick out a great phone,with a good price! SOMETHANG happened to it that made it not work propley. The same man was there & took it & fixed where it would ring again,he was nice&Very helpfull.Then it STARED to mess up once more,by not letting her into it to answer it...She took it back ,this time there was a girl,she said it would fix it's self& be ok..TA next day still ta same thang..took it back to the girl once more WHITCH told her the same thang....The next day still couldn't answer it but,the man was there had it fixed in about 5 mins!! It makes a DIFFERENCE when Someone trys to help ! My friend is now very happy with her new phone,THANKS TO TA WONDERFULL MAN EMPLOYEE AT AT&T IN ATHENS! I switched to att 2 months ago and thanks to the service I got at the Athens store this has been a nightmare. 1st I spent a total of 9 hours in this store to get switched because they didnt know what they were doing. I ended up with 2 accounts in my name. They owe me a refund all I hear when I go to store to get the situation resolved is that it has been escalated. I was told by one CSR that the 2nd bill was taken care of. It was not. I went in for assistance again and was told I needed to call 611, I called and was told it would be resolved in 7-10 business days. Thought that was taken care of then I get a call from a collection agency because it was still not taken care of. So I called a corporate store today and they have my situation fixed except the refund which they have given me an actual day that I will be contacted back for a resolve. From now on I will drive the hour to get the customer...
