Yamato Japanese Steak House — Restaurant in Athens

A friend and I went out in Athens Tennessee to look for someplace to eat After a while we finally found a really great space called Yamato Cafe, so the sign on the building said. The seating was plentiful when we got there and the service was excellent. We really enjoyed our server she was wonderful. We got some sashimi (chef's choice), a two bento boxes and ordered, of all things, desert. I have to admit I was impressed 😁🤩!! The session was excellent! The food was good I had the hibachi combination of filet mignon and chicken which was tender. also ordered some Dynamite sushi which was fried and it was also good. I like the crab rangoons they were a little bit different and also liked the sauce that they serve with it. The service was really good here one of the better places I've been to for service and the food came out quick. My complaints are that the first time I ate here they were mopping and you could smell the cleaning chemicals while we ate and it would be nice if they played some music while you're in there it was kind of quiet and they sat us right on top other people on one side of the restaurant and you can here everything...

Got there barley any people in the restaurant yet the new waitress took our order we said it very clear and she wrote down everything got us our drinks. Then after that we didn’t see anyone for about 15 minutes someone asked us a quick question and then disappeared for another 35 and they brought us someone else’s food. Then messed up one of our orders- said we didn’t order anything else- brought rice out when we didn’t have rice with our meal. Ended up paying for drinks a fried avocado after over an hour went by. First time going there. I couldn’t be more disappointed. the one women blamed it on our waitress even tho she wrote everything down. I assume kitchen staff lost our ticket. No...
