I have taken several items in to sell to them and usually got the accurate price for my gold jewelry but, recently needed extra cash because of a unexpected home repair and I took in a gold coin I had kept for years . I assumed that they were honest but boy was I way wrong!! I did research online and had an ideal what the coin was worth but , when I told him the value I thought the coin had he acted as if I was crazy and quoted a much lower price. I thought maybe I was looking up the coin incorrectly and that surely he knew what it was worth . I even asked how coins were priced and he stated by they condition so I went ahead and sold it. So it kept bothering me because everything told me it was worth over $600 more than I got for it. I called a few places and was told I was right and that condition only accounts for a very little amount . Mind you my coin was in excellent condition to begin with, I was so mad. I understand that everyone needs to make money in a transaction but making over double what the item is worth is just wrong. He knew the value of my coin was way more than that . I learned two lessons that day one is you must do your research and call other places and second lesson is I will not take my business there again. I can't stand a liar. I will go to the people I called that were...
Read moreI have visited this place many times in the past, and had a great experience, Today was a different employee working the front then the usually one.
I took my watch to have the back reattached after replacing the battery. A new employee took the watch to the back room to work on it. When she returned it to me, the back wasn’t fully seated. On the side of the crown, the back wasn’t fully seated, which prevented the crown from functioning correctly. I couldn’t adjust the time, and the logo on the back was crooked instead of straight.
I pointed out the issue to the employee, explaining that the back hadn’t been set correctly. Specifically, the notch for the crown wasn’t aligned, which is why the back didn’t sit flush. She became visibly upset and defensive, denying any responsibility and claiming she hadn’t caused the issue.
She then took the watch to the back again, popped the back off, and accused me of warping it. When I tried to show her how the back should align, she refused to listen. Her tone became increasingly hostile, and although she claimed she wasn’t upset, she was visibly shaking.
At that point, I told her I didn’t understand why she was getting so upset and that I would take the watch elsewhere.
The new place was able to fix the watch with no issues, and was...
Read moreI went by here to get my wrist watch (DANGO brand & over $800 for the timepiece and metal band) cleaned and the battery changed and to see why a button was sticking. The front counter lady took down my number and said the man that does the cleaning and such would have to give me a call back to see if he even can. More than 2 weeks later I go back by there (after I set a date reminder, because I gave them the benefit of the doubt) to inquire about what he said, because I never got a call at all. They stated they had finished my piece and it was ready. Took them several minutes to locate it, and when I got it back I noticed the hinge piece in the upper left [facing] was crooked and latched on wrong. They stated they didn’t know how it got like that. That got me irritated. It was not cleaned. The button still stuck and I’m not sure the battery was new, but the watch was functional - minus the defected button. Sadly, I’d trust Walmart over these people. The store is a front, because I just can’t fathom how they sustain themselves. I will be taking the time to research my own resolve and purchase the tools required myself. Waste of time and money, but earned me a...
