5 Stars – Best Spot in EAV, Hands Down
If you're looking for the music venue in East Atlanta Village, this is it. From the moment you walk in, the vibe is right. The staff is fast, friendly, and knows how to keep the energy flowing. Drinks? Ice cold, strong, and you won’t be waiting forever to get one—huge win.
Let’s talk about Jay, the owner. This dude is seriously the heart of EAV. He’s always there, working hard, making sure every detail is on point. You can feel how much he cares. He books some of the best lineups around—whether you're into metal, punk, or something experimental, there's always something fresh going down.
And the sound? Absolutely killer. The sound guy deserves a beer because everything is dialed in perfectly. No blown-out speakers, no muddy vocals—just crisp, clean sound that hits you in your chest in the best way.
The whole space feels like a place where real music lovers can actually connect—with the artists, the crowd, and the moment. It’s intimate without being cramped, and lively without being overwhelming. You just feel good being there.
Whether you're 21 and catching your first local show or 45 and looking for a night out that doesn’t feel played out—this spot hits every mark.
Highly recommend. Support local, feel the music, and make this place part of your regular rotation. You...
Read moreMy band has played at 529 for years. We love the environment. It is always a party every time there is a show there. It is kind of like what having a part in your parents basement when they went off out of town was like. Everyone telling dining from plastic cups, singing, dancing enough to get sweaty, it's a blast. The bar tenders are extremely efficient, you'll never have to wait an unreasonable amount of time for a drink. Try their Jack and Coke slushie when it's warm out, it is super refreshing and will get you feeling right for the show! The posted show times in the website are always early, the does tend to run late, but that's the point over there. Expect to have a fun later evening of drinks, partying, and loud...
Read moreTerribly ran. I was denied entry because the owner of the venue decided to pick sides like a high schooler and let the opening act artist deny me entrance. I was there with a group of friends to see our friend play but since the opening act does not like me because of personal issues between us that has nothing to do with the owner or anybody else.. I could not see my friend perform. Do not come here if you have any differences between any acts there, they will let them abuse power, choose their side, and deny you entry, bad or no reason at all. Very unethical owner and business. Even a venue way higher up than them told me their reasoning is very weird...
