Chose this place for its high rating. Looked like a cool place to have some wings and beer with friends.
Its definitely "a bar" meaning it has that rustic look and feel inside, like an old neighborhood bar. The place is huge with lots of TVs and places to sit with large groups, etc. There is an entire room off to the side with games or you could have private parties, etc. The outside seating is huge as well with TVs, etc.
We had fried pickles, wings, bison burger, fries, onions rings, fried chicken sandwich and a regular burger with a side of fruit.
The food was good, typical bar food, nothing awesome that jumps out at you and makes you want to come back. The food came out quickly, the app.'s even beat our first round of drinks. And that's where things started falling apart.
We waited forever, more than once for drinks, my friend asked for tea no less than 4 times, I told him to give it up. It is weird because the server came right to us, took our orders but delivery was horrible on drinks. We had to flag people down for another round almost every time - they were not that busy.
Then there was table service. Thank God we were sitting next to the silverware, condiment, napkins etc. We had to get our own, food was served and we had nothing, both times. We then had to put our own plates away, found a cart sitting nearby we used that to clear off our table. Then I looked around the entire restaurant, both inside and out and the tables were all trashed, no one was busing them. I saw a couple come in looking for a place to sit and couldn't because every table was trashed.
Then there were the floors both inside and out littered with paper, plates, etc. it looked like Van Halen just checked out, aging my self there.
They are located in Peachtree Battle Shopping center, there is plenty of parking but the place does get full with all the other stores and shops around.
Would I come here again? Not on purpose, the food just didn't say to me "come back for more". You can get this bar food anywhere at ATL at 1000's of places. But if you live nearby, its a...
Read moreCluck cluck cluck! I am a chicken salad fanatic. I try chicken salad all over the country. Most is disappointing beyond belief.
It's not that it's bland: Chicken, celery, onion and mayo. You'd think it was an easy thing to do but noooo... no seasoning. Canned chicken sometimes. Cut. Chopped. Shredded. Too much mayo. Dry because not enough mayo. Bland!
That's not the case here. This chicken salad (menu has it on Texas toast. I don't care for Texas toast so asked for brioche bun. DONE!). The chicken was poached in seasoning. The celery was crisp and cut perfectly (oh you didn't know there was an IMperfect way? Lolol). The onions didn't dominate. The chicken was shredded You can TASTE THE CHICKEN! It's not over dressed. There is salt and pepper! It's simple. That's the way chicken salad should be.
I had an appointment so ate and left but gods! I should have asked for a pint to go because 2 hours later (although full) I wanted some more. Bravo!
My guest loves Reubens. He was very happy with it.

Read moreBest fried pickles in all the world! This is a proven fact. I buy fried pickles wherever they make it to a plate and Whitehall hands down has the best. Waitstaff has been pretty good but there is this one guy who is like a beer wizard. He introduced some brews previously unknown just by paying attention to his customers likes and dislikes. Who does that with an honest understanding in a tavern? The Beer Wizard does! Pleasantly surprised by the menu. Food prep and presentation is above “bar food”. Portions are large and the atmosphere is sports bar like with a pretty good mix of local families and groups of college kids. A few folks hanging on to those college days to be had as well. This is the quintessential neighborhood bar. UPDATE Just had some of those pickles after being away for a couple of months. Not the awesome flakes of batter! Flat cornmeal. Something is wrong here. Get it...
