As a loyal customer and a member of the community, I have always enjoyed dining at Cava. However, my experience on this occasion was deeply troubling and unacceptable.
While visiting your establishment, I was subjected to discriminatory treatment by one of your employees. As a pregnant woman, I was shocked and dismayed by the behavior exhibited towards me, which made me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. Specifically, during my recent visit to your restaurant on 6/20/24. During this visit, my husband and I were subjected to unprofessional and discriminatory treatment by one of your employees, who I believe is named Ty.
From the moment we requested rice, Ty was noticeably rude and even rolled his eyes at us. The situation escalated when he refused to serve us and instructed us to leave the store, referring to it as “his store.” When we asked him to not be rude, he continued his unprofessional behavior. Additionally, no one in the establishment wore name tags, and other employees refused to provide their names when asked.
Furthermore, I noticed other concerning issues during our visit. The cashier appeared to be giving away free food, and many of the dips were unavailable well before closing time, with the restaurant running out by 8 PM despite a closing time of 10 PM.

Read moreCUSTOMER SERVICE REVIEW: A huge thank you to the young lady who made my pickup order early! I couldn’t believe the pickup was an hour ahead (I never set a time via the app) and I needed to pick up my order before I started my 90 minute drive home. I felt horrible about asking if the order could be made earlier, though the establishment was not busy at the time. I explained that the pickup time was a bit later and the African American young lady said “well then it’ll just have to be later.” I felt that that was a very rude thing to say to a customer and I honestly couldn’t believe she was so untactful about the situation. Another young lady offered to make the order for me and I was very thankful and apologized again for the inconvenience. The sweet girl preparing my order asked the first young lady if she wanted to help with the order (only two items, mind you) and she quickly said “no.” The third young lady helped the second young lady by reading off the order and then she bagged it for me without an issue. THANK YOU again to the two girls who were polite and accommodating. I genuinely appreciate your flexibility and patience! To the first person who spoke to me about the order, you probably shouldn’t work in customer service if an apologetic customer asking for a PAID order to be made a little sooner upsets you. Read moreI was greeted by a woman who was actually serving two customers and had one waiting as I entered but still allowed herself. Enough time to greet me and welcome me into the restaurant while taking care of her customs. I thought that was very, very valuable and it contribute to my experience that I was all set. Felt recognized a huge plus. Just from watching how she handled the front line show confidence showed experience and I explained to her hey my first time man she said hey no problem she helped me along with the process which was pretty easy cuz I was hungry and she recommended some of the top selling items and YA and what she liked and so it was very cool experience. She definitely had a huge influence on that and right away I knew she had to be the manager and that's the type of experience you want your customers to come into. Knowing that they're dealing with someone who oversees the whole function and operation of his business or service shows that they're able to do everything that's required to make sure that their staff enjoys a comfortable working environment because she's willing to do everything that they can do and but yet focusing on the experience that are customers have. So I don't want to butcher her name but I believe it's Milan. Just an awesome person.
