I usually don't write reviews but the customer service I had last night was so terrible, it inclined me to do so. I've been a loyal patron of this establishment since about 2013. When we lived in ATL we came here all the time. Since we moved away, we would come eat here every time we came into town and have dinner with friends. Last night we were intown having dinner. It was a Saturday night, and we were surprised how it wasn't very busy at all. We ordered food and drinks. Food was alright. You could tell the difference from dining here pre-covid to dining here after covid. The portions are less. You get no sides with a burrito, and the sour cream was the consistency of water.
After we finished dinner, we ordered one last round. I had ordered the blackberry margarita. This drink was soo absolutely smokey it was the equivalent of licking an ashtray. I'm all for a smokey drink, but this was overkill. Thinking it was just me, I had my husband (a 20yr plus mixologist) try the drink. He literally almost spit the drink out... I politely informed the server that the drink was not good and I would like to be refunded. There was literally two sips taken out of the drink. Once I got the bill, the drink was still on the bill, so I was a little confused. I asked the server about my drink charge and that's when the manager came in. After I explained to him the situation, he got defensive and snarky. He had me follow him to the hostest stand so he could point out their policy. Explaining to me that if they drink was made correctly that they would not refund anything. I explained that this was terrible customer service. The best he could do was offer me half off for something I didn't drink or to add more blackberry syrup.
Our whole table has worked or currently works in the service industry, and we never experienced such poor customer service and an additute from management. I especially loved the part where the manager offered me half off my drink when all the servers were taking shots behind the bar 5 mins prior.
Needless to stay, they lost a long time customer. We will never be back and our friends who live in ATL will never come back again either. Word of mouth is the best type of advertisement, too bad it won't be good advertisement...
Read moreWorst dining experience EVER. It’s obvious that they get in trouble for sending food back even when they get your order wrong. The waitress did not have pin/paper in hand and did not call our order back out to us to make sure it was right. This was my second time dining here and my second time having my order messed up. Both times I was brought meats that I do not eat and would not have ordered (I’m almost 40. I know what I like, I know how to read, and how to order food). My first visit, the waitress seemed a bit bothered that she got my order wrong, but was kind about it, reluctantly took it off my bill, & brought the correct one. My second visit, tonight, the waitress and manager, both, questioned me as though I was crazy or incompetent (the manager pretty much quizzed me) - it was very insulting. Neither one of them apologized for the mix-up. The manager told me that her employee never makes mistakes (reminder: she’s human & did not write down my order). In addition to the wrong meat, they brought me corn tortillas after I asked for flour (which i do not like and would not have ordered). When I respectfully pointed it out to them and just asked that they bring me some flour ones to swap my taco meat to, they charged me for the flour tortillas (a mistake they made). When I brought this to the manager’s attn, she got very defensive. Then, when I expressed to the manager that this was horrible customer service, she got upset and told me to never come back. They were literally upset bc I expressed my dissatisfaction with the service I received. The super young hostess even got in my face like she was going to put her hands on me (this literally had nothing to do with her). I still am in disbelief that they blamed the order mistake on me and tried to charge me for their mistake. If sending food back is a big no-no and/or numbers were needing to be met for the night, there should be systems in place to ensure accuracy. I work in hospitality/customer service. This is not how you...
Read moreOne star!!!! The customer service was worth zero stars. I ordered take out online and I went to the bar to pick up my order and I spoke to a woman. She asked me my name and she found my order. She looked at me with uncertainty and asked me to see the card I used to purchase the food. Seriously?????? Who does that????? And what year are we in???? I’ve been to over 40 different restaurants in the Atlanta area since we moved here five years ago. I asked her if it was normally done for every take out order and she said it was. I told her I’ve never been asked that at a restaurant. She begins to tell me, “well they should be doing that.” Why to make customers feel like you think they’re committing fraud. That’s not to help me!!! Get with the program and set up more secure credit card payment systems like Apple Pay and others. That’s so ancient and not comforting. You should check my ID to make sure it’s me, if you’re trying to help the customer. Now for the food… It was literally worth one star. We ordered a variety of food and 1 out of the five items was mediocre. We ordered the spicy chicken tacos that were dry and the chicken was over cooked. The chicken tamales wrapped in the banana leaf was wet from the banana leaf trapping the liquid instead of absorbing it. I had a shrimp empanadas and it was just an overload of cheese sauce yuck!!! With slimy shrimp!! The chicken burrito was average with perfectly cooked chicken. I will...
