I should have been concerned when I called & was placed on hold for almost 7 mins & all I wanted to do was ask if the served Caprese salad (red flag #1). I found out that they did. I got to the restaurant & was not greeted by anyone!!! (red flag #2) There was another customer standing at the counter who seemed to be very irritated & told me that the young man behind waiting on her didn't know how to work the computer & had charged her for each of her items separately....by individual transactions on her card!!!(red flag #3). I asked her if I was supposed to wait to be seated or what? The place was EMPTY...It was 4:30 in the afternoon & there was 1 other person seated at a table. She told me it was my choice. Finally a woman came out & proceeded to wait on the irritated customer. She never even acknowledged my presence (red flag #4) then a young man came out & after about 3 mins of me just standing there, he asked me if I was ready to order....well DUH (red flag #5) I ordered my caprese salad & the crab stuffed ravioli. Although I chose to dine in I still had to pay for my food first AND was asked for a tip (red flag #6) when my food arrived I was VERY disappointed! The portion of cheese & tomatoes were fine but there were only 4 small leaves of basil. The saving grace was that it really was delicious The additional basil would have made it fantastic. Here is where I stop counting red flags!! Ok about the ravioli... I was expecting CRAB meat in my CRAB stuffed ravioli, but what I got was some fishy tasting paste like filling. Lastly, I tip based on service in a sit down restaurant but again they make you pay up front INCLUDING the tip otherwise they would have got NOTHING!!! I partially base good service on whether or not my server comes to check on me DURING the meal...well suffice it to say they DIDN'T!!! I try to give a restaurant at least 2 tries but after almost $30 for a caprese salad, ravioli, & ice water from the tap....I WILL...
Read moreI've only come here for lunch before and it was always so good. This last time I came for dinner and it was a completely different experience. We ordered, paid and sat down as usual, our appetizers came out real fast, like before they brought us out bread, the spinach flatbread app was miniscule, like barely enough for one person but it was only $4 so I can't complain too much. We finished our appetizers and then the waiting began. It took over half an hour before our entrees came, people that came after us, bigger parties got served before me and my friend. It was very jumbled, 2 different servers, manager (?) and even the guy working the register taking orders were running all around and they all just looked so flustered and you could feel their overwhelmed energy. They must have forgotten about our order because when my friend went to the counter asking when we like he getting our food she was told it was coming out soon. 10 minutes later we were served. My ravioli was very undercooked and dry, not much sauce. I know now to ask for the ravioli to be tossed in the sauce if that is an option. I will definitely come back but I'm sticking to this place as a lunch option, they don't have dinner service down...
Read moreWe've eaten at this location since it opened & noticed that the quality of food has gone down. Tonight our server greeted us with "sorry, we ran out of bread" and when we asked a manager about that she said that "they were not allowed" to go & buy more for the rest of the night's service. Whaaat?? We ordered a pasta dish w/chicken & peppers red sauce but when it came to the table there was no chicken in it at all. What I disliked most about tonight was the lack of knowledge by the server & "manager" of the dishes (obviously the cooks too) - they acted like they had no idea that chicken was part of that sauce. They brought us a small dish with a little chicken in some sauce in it & seemed irritated that I was not jumping for joy. It was a joke & if I was the server, would not have brought it to the table. Is this a real restaurant or not?? Tonight it hit me that the Figo servers are truly nothing more than food runners. I guess I have given them more credit in the past b/c the service they showed tonight did not require any skill at all. The food was actually ok, the service shows the lack of quality control that appears not to be just a one-time thing but more of a trend based on my last few...
