Usually, this is the best McDonald's nearby - late drive-thru is great in my experience; however, a recent trip kind of ruined McDonald's. (tl;dr don't go on a Friday around 2:00-2:20 pm.)
I went through the drive-thru around 2:00-2:20 pm on a Friday afternoon and ordered a Double-Quarter Pounder with Cheese. Diet Coke. Large. At the second window, I was handed a drink and straw, then asked to pull forward, so I did (this usually happens, either because of the burger or Large fry, idk). After a short wait, a bag with the order was brought out - the attendant seemed courteous and said something nice about the sky (there'd been 3-4 days of rain prior) so I smiled, said thanks and drove off. The 'diet coke' was that strange mixture that most McDonald's soda machines pump out and I didn't drink it. (Kinda expected a 50/50 it would taste like diet coke, so not that big of a deal to me) The fries weren't hot. They weren't really even in their container, just, sort of thrown in the bag. Burger was soaked. Not sure. From the grease? Hopefully. Soaked through bread and cardboard, like wet soggy bun, the whole thing came apart. Just, really, kind of gross. Rinsed my mouth...

Read moreI had such a heartwarming experience at the McDonald’s on 4362 Roswell Rd. NE in Atlanta that I just had to share.
I came in for a simple meal—a classic hamburger, a medium Diet Coke, and a chocolate shake—but what I received was so much more. The hamburger was just what I needed: hot, fresh, and made with care. There’s something comforting about that familiar McDonald’s flavor, and this one was done just right. The Diet Coke was perfectly cold and crisp, and the chocolate shake was thick, creamy, and rich—like a little moment of joy in a cup.
But what truly made the visit special was the kindness and warmth of Consuola. She greeted me with a smile that felt genuine and full of heart. Her energy, patience, and attention to detail reminded me that good service is about more than just efficiency—it’s about making people feel seen and cared for, even in a brief interaction. She turned an ordinary stop into something memorable.
Thank you, Consuola, for brightening my day. I’ll absolutely be back—and next time, I’ll be looking for...
