Already added a ton of photos but Google wants me to review everything, every time I go there, so here goes: Roswell, New Mexico 7 July 1947 - after flying through space for thousands of years, the frozen corpse of an alien enters Earth's atmosphere and collides with a us-govt weather balloon. The remains are found by a farmer in New Mexico who promptly reports the incident. Years later his children cleaned out his closet as part of the estate sale and a mysterious stranger was the lone bidder on the overalls he wore that fateful day. That stranger extracted space yeast from the dust in his overalls and brewed the first Monday night beer with it.
From that day the world was forever changed. Monday nights garage harkens back to the wonder and awe from those early days.
Edit: To answer the owner, I've long held my suspicions that the ill-brew-minati use Monday night as their testing lab.
2022 update: I started editing this comment 5-6 years ago and forgot to hit post. In that time, Monday night has grown to become foundational to the west end community. Everything about them is awesome. They have pizza now! And it's not throwaway pizza like you might get at some beer place that just wants some additional dwell time. They make everything from scratch. Basil? It's growing behind the counter. They make their dough with flour, eggs and love. San marzano tomatoes, not random store brand marinara sauce. And before you criticize the can please note that the canned tomatoes are as good as fresh tomatoes for pizza preparation. They could technically buy from aluma farms but (1) aluma doesn't make enough tomatoes to accommodate demand for these incredible pizzas and (2) once they cook those tomatoes enough to make sauce out of you couldn't tell the difference anyway. The pizzas here are as good as anything I've had including a 2019 trip I took to Venice.
Monday Night is one of my favorite places in Atlanta. The staff are amazing, the ownership is amazing, the food is amazing, and the prices are as reasonable as anywhere. One pizza here is cheaper than two menu items at taco bell and feeds the exact same amount of people. Maybe more (I can only eat 2 of the 8 slices). The beer is as good as anything you'll find and it's made here. Why would you not spend less to eat better food and drink amazing beer?
2023 burger popup update: stop. Please stop it. These flavors are simply too outrageous...
Read moreThe address, 933 Lee Street, led me on a little wild goose chase, as the GPS guided me to what looked like a detention center. After driving around for a little bit, I turned onto White Street and finally spotted the brewery's name on a huge building along with a spacious parking lot. Fortunately, we found a spot in the free parking lot. Looking around Wifey and I noticed there were a bunch of breweries in this general area all within walking distance. We walked past a few before reaching our main destination, Monday Night Brewing - Garage. We were attending a meetup so we looked around and quickly found the other club members. Soon as I walked in I noticed the place was huge, with seating spread everywhere and numerous cool nooks for hanging out. The brewery had a huge bar, featuring a menu with a long list of choices. The bar staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming questions and even offering small tasters to assist with decision-making. Opting for a Hazy Double IPA named Cosmic Cabbage and an Oktoberfest for wifey, I really enjoyed my Hazy while she found the Oktoberfest did not taste like the traditional Oktoberfest, but was enjoyable. Monday Night Garage also featured a separate area for food, primarily pizzas. I didn't get a chance to try one this time, but they looked good on other patrons' tables. Some other key amenities included a massive projection TV screen perfect for catching the hottest games and a spacious room catering to private events. Overall the place was great and I will...
Read moreMonday Night Garage is located in Lee + White development at Atlanta’s BeltLine trail.
The Garage houses 3 separate barrel aging rooms, a coolship, and an onsite orchard and garden.
The place is huge, perfect for private events. The company I work for had their Holiday Party here and we had a blast. We had our personal bar, and bartender, and all you can drink beer! How awesome?
The have a lot of beer options, and I tried a lot of them that night, but I have to say my favorite was Blind Pirate.
The food was provided by our company, so I’m not sure if they have food or not. There is also plenty of parking at Lee+White which is always a plus!
I loved my experience here, and would recommend and come back!
