Best! Ramen! I consider myself a true Roman fan girl, I even make it from scratch at home, and the Roman at this bar is by far the side of the Pacific. Just post far only preparers 20 balls are from in each night, so make sure that you get there early enough to get some, especially if it's a Friday or Saturday. You do not want to miss out on this awesomeness!

The Ramen was piled high with chewy noodles, and the ratio between noodles and broth was so perfect that we finished both at almost the same time. The chashu was the best I've ever had in a restaurant. Not mushy, but with bite and texture. The soft boiled, seasoned egg was done perfectly. (I don't know why so many restaurants hard boil their eggs or have trouble soft boiling them.) The yolk was still runny and the white had been marinated and was cooked. This is how it's supposed to be done, folks. We devoured the bowl and wish that we had ordered another.

If the other things we got at Octopus Bar were not as tasty as the Ramen, but they were interesting. We had a salad involving white anchovies, mandarin oranges, cucumber, coriander, and cilantro. That combination of flavors wasn't particularly my thing, but I knew when I ordered it that it would be an adventure. I also got a fish dish called ca kho that was tasty enough but too spicy for me to enjoy it fully. It had catfish, caramel, fish sauce, bacon, black pepper, and red jalapeño over rice. The menu changes every day, so there's no telling what will be available when you visit. Enjoy the excitement, but definitely...

I do believe that the restaurant could use some signage. We walked around in circles 4 about 15-20 minutes before someone was willing to walk us to the restaurant. We had seen it several times but it appears that it was closed and it did not have sinage that stated Octopus Bar. If it did, I didn't notice it.

Upon entering someone met us in the lobby area and told us to go through the left hand side which appeared to be a patio. It is definitely some type of add on to the main building. Is very dark in the inside which is kind of cool and there is quite a bit of graffiti on the wall which was also very cool. All the tables had candles and the place seemed very clean. When we arrive at 10:30 there were very few customers. Within 20 minutes the place was packed. I noticed a lot of people ordering the ramen but we selected the lobster roll, a salad, and the Cobia cheek and fin.The lobster roll ($22) is pretty good but the Cobia cheek and fin was only so-soamd very fatty. I noticed several people order the ramen but many of the people were at the bar.

I gave it 3 stars because the location is hard to find. People are allowed to smoke in there and it's a small not well ventilated space. I did enjoy the fun atmosphere and the lobster roll was really good. Do be prepared to have a changing menu that don't have your typical dishes which is exciting. Also there is not...

Walked in to an empty restaurant and greeted three people at the bar with a very friendly “hi how are yall?” Zero acknowledgement or response and they continued chatting with each other about personal matters. They definitely heard our greeting and kept glancing at us while we stood there awkwardly. eventually we just took some seats at the bar near them. they finally speak to us to tell us that they don’t open for five more minutes and ask us to go wait outside. Could they not have told us that when we walked in and said hello? Why did they wait until we sat down to say something? It was such a bizarre encounter and came off extremely rude. Trust me, they heard our greeting. We spoke directly to them while standing a few feet away. They glanced at us and chose to ignore us while drinking beer and swapping stories. Can’t comment on the food bc we didn’t stick around after such an awful first impression. Friendliness matters, I don’t understand this...

Anytime I’m in a seafood mood, I head right on over to @octopusatl , they are serving up fresh & flavorful seafood, alongside their signature drinks, & premium hookah! This is a spot where you can actually hear the person talking next to you because the music isn’t blasting, such a calm vibe, I love to come here after work to unwind. The calamari & seafood pasta are a MUST try. They also have brunch on the weekend & happy hour. Make sure you check them out & let them know Links In the City sent you ✨

I went out with some friends after attending the opening night of The Atlanta Black Theatre Festival. We had loads of laughs, and our waiter joined in and added to the laughter. The menu is very limited and geared towards patrons with a slightly more sophisticated pallet than the average person. I believe I had The Bronzino, which was trout on a bed of veggies with a special red sauce. The fish was cooked to perfection with a nice crunch on the outside and juicy and flavorful on the inside. The veggies were the perfect size and had a nice soft crunch to them as well. The sauce was bursting with flavor! I should've taken a Pic of my plate afterwards, cuz it was clean! Lol We sat on the patio. It was nice, but they never turned the patio lights on, so the lighting was very dim. But it was a cool atmosphere.
