I was starving one Sunday morning and was not in the mood to cook. After doing a little research I discovered The Daily opened up in my area. I hopped in my car and headed over.
The location appears to be a new area. It is off the main road and canāt been seen. You would have to be intentional about finding this place. There is a huge parking lot that is shared with the other businesses. When I dined here the restaurant Lil Reyās was not open. I was told by the cashier that the space next door would eventually become a brewery.
The concept of this spot is that you order at the cashier and then seat yourself. They have both inside and outdoor dinning options. The outside patio is reminiscent of your back yard at home. During my visit several patrons with children sat on the patio and allowed their children to play.
I ordered the avocado bowl and added a side of impossible sausage. I also had the chai latte with oat milk. The food came out fairly quickly. They bring the food to you, but you will need to retrieve your silverware and napkins yourself. They have buckets of silverware lying around the restaurant. Additionally you are responsible for busting your own table( placing your plate and silverware in a designated area).
My drink was good, nothing special. The avocado bowl was tasty. I really appreciate a restaurant that has healthy options.
I found myself back at The Daily the following Saturday. This time around I ordered the breakfast burrito and the black sesame latte with oat milk! The latte is not for everyone, but I loved it. I appreciate that it is not sweet. The burrito had a ton of flavor!
Overall, I do believe this is going to be my new go to spot for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI'm surprised this location has so many 5-star reviews. Since I live nearby, I tried to make it my go-to spot for a vanilla iced latte on the way to work. However, I've been disappointed almost every time, with the exception thereās a particular girl (sorry, I donāt know her name) who does a pretty good job. With prices $8+ for an iced latte plus an added hospitality charge for employee health insurance, + tip it often doesn't feel worth it. I once ordered the hash bowl, but it wasn't cooked all the way through and, considering the price, I havenāt ordered food from there again. An iced latte seems simple enough, but sometimes it feels like the baristas could use a bit more training. Most of the staff is friendly, though, and the place is often busy. However, it tends to attract a specific crowd, so I wouldnāt describe it as very diverse. If you have a few extra minutes to spare and really like coffee, Iād recommend...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLet me first start by saying the staff is extremely lovely and super kind! However, I feel like for the price of the coffee and food it is EXTREMELY underwhelming. If you enjoy an aromatic coffee experience with actual notes I wouldnāt suggest going here. Atlantaās coffee culture isnāt what it needs to be yet.
When they made my iced coffee they put 70% cream, 20% ice, and the rest was their hot drip roast (which tasted like nothing) in the remainder of the cup. Maybe they just donāt really have the proper training on how to roast /care for the coffee? The food is pretty standard not horrible but nothing special really. Again for the price itās not really worth it.
It feels rushed and although their customer service experience is a 10/10 if you are a coffee lover I wouldnāt recommend going here. If youāre looking for a really good cafe/coffee experience the best place Iāve found...
