The other reviews about the customer service here are true ! I came here a few days ago because I went to the 3646 post street dreamette and had no issues. Customer service and ice cream were really good. I ordered a medium soft ice cream cone that was $6.07. It was so small it looked like a kids size. I questioned the girl who took my order and she said that is the size for the medium. Meanwhile the 2 children who were eating a Soft cone on the bench like me had a bigger portion than mine and they actually had a kid size. How does a kid size ice cream cone look like a large and a medium ice cream that I ordered look really tiny. It literally looked like one scoop of ice cream. I asked to speak to the manager and she told me that she was the manager. I asked to speak to her boss and she said that her parents owned the store. Her attitude was horrible! I watched her be super friendly to the man in front of me who was Caucasian! I am African American and her whole mood changed when she took my order. Even prior to me questioning the small serving of ice cream. So instead of giving me another ice cream cone. She refunded my money. So that lets me know that you don’t want my business. I wouldn’t come here if you are African America because clearly our money is not wanted. I read the comment where the owner said we raised our children to have manners! Lies because your daughter was very rude! Unprofessional and did not try to make (me ) the customer happy! Does this sound like someone who was raised right ? She was very snobby and argumentative! Social media is very powerful like I told her. You have to be careful how you treat people! And she obviously feels like since her parents own the store she can treat people any kind of way! I would stay away from this location and go to another dreamette. I wish I could give...
Read moreWe have been coming here since opening day and frequent often as we are local. Some employee turn around is understandable for the business but the girl working tonight had a really horrible attitude. (The boy working with her said her name was Kayla/Caylee/Haley? Something like that).
We placed an order of “vanilla kids cup, with sprinkles, marshmellows and a cone with a spill protector on the side” for our 4 year old. We were told you can’t get marshmallows on that size, only a small and up , so we ordered the small …. When it came out, it was vanilla ice cream, with sprinkles and a cone pressed into the top of it. So I asked for a spill protector and mentioned it was supposed to have marshmallows. The girl at the window had a rude attitude explaining the marshmallow was only syrup, no marshmallows. My wife says to her on the menu it said they had lucky charm marshmallows as a topping option and we had to pay for an upsize to get that topping option. The girl was annoyed explaining there was “nothing she could do” and she would still have to make a “small cup size”, my wife says just a cup of those will be fine you don’t need to remake the ice cream. The girl says “she will have to go check and see if they even have them because they were for st Patrick’s day”…. If you don’t have the topping, why would it be on the board…anyway, they did have it and came back with the marshmallows in the cup but when my wife asked the boy working for her name she was met with a “why “ after he told us the name the girl stood inside rolling her eyes and clearly talking about the interaction. If this is the style of service you are ok with providing we will gladly drive to riverside and not get bad attitudes from children working in an...
Read moreMilitary Family/First Responders Review. Our family of 5 had just finished a day at the beach and we loved the location in Murray Hill, so decided to give this one a try. I’m pregnant and had been craving the blueberry dipped chocolate I’d had prior in Murray Hill. The woman who was there (red hair and freckles) proceeded to tell me aggressively they “DO NOT DIP CUPS”, I looked at my husband, then responded that I didn’t want the cup dipped- I wanted a chocolate ice cream dipped in blueberry in a cup and she stuck her head out the window, clapped her hands once and said more loudly, “WE DO NOT DIP CUPS, WE CAN DIP A CONE IN A CUP BUT WE DO NOT DIP CUPS”. I had no clue why this women felt the need to yell at me, I was extremely nice and kind. I’ve never had service like this at any establishment and I asked for a business card, she said we don’t have any so then I asked if she had a manager and she says I’m the manager and my family owns this.
I said, well that explains the personality and my advice stands what I told her prior: “Some constructive criticism for you and your business, reel back that personality, it is rude, aggressive and too much and comes across as being disrespectful to the customer”. She apologized. There was a misunderstanding on my behalf about what flavors they had, so after they informed me they didn’t have blueberry, I asked for cotton candy instead. What I received: chocolate ice cream dipped in strawberry on a cone melting down my hand... We left and will never come back. It was the most pretentious, hostile and rudest behavior I’ve ever encounter- and especially coming from someone who is a manager. That’s...
