Cantina Louie (Atlantic Beach, FL) — Restaurant in Atlantic Beach

Listen y’all, you’ve got to have a serious conversation with one of your waitresses at the Atlantic Beach location. I have some serious complaints. But her service was despicable. I don’t even know where to start. Let’s start with she never told us her name. She was a skinny, young blonde and had a golden necklace with a C. (Maybe 19 or 20 years old). Let’s start with us asking for a table of 7. She plopped menus down on the table came back to the hostess stand looked at us and used her eyes and thumb to show she put the menus down. We looked at each other with eyes wide. Like, we were supposed to know what that meant. We were celebrating our bride who picked out her wedding dress next door. She had her bride sash and headband. Everything. We also drove 3 hours to come here. So, since we met friends, we decided to enjoy ourselves and order a few margaritas. So, we were there for an hour and she brought our checks. (We got there at like 4:45pm). Closed our tabs. Our bride and two other people were still drinking and had intentions to order MORE! I asked her for an unsweet tea like 5 minutes ago. So our bride says, “ummm, can we open another tab? We would like to order more drinks.” Her answer was, I kid you not: “Can I ask why?” We looked at her and said, “because we’re still drinking.” I said, can “I get my unsweet tea?” The looked me in the eyes and said, “We’re out of unsweetened tea. I just made the other table mad too. But we have sweet tea.” And walked away. Like…it’s not even 6pm. There is TWO tables who want it. Make it. Make the dang tea. She went as far as to suggest the bride take her margarita TO GO!!!! Umm, isn’t that illegal!? We said, No! We want one here. Then when our bride wanted a To Go cup she blatantly ignored her. It was terrible. I have NEVER had an experience like this. Ever! We’re celebrating a bride. Our party of 7 left $55 in tips! For the Love of all things good, let the bride enjoy herself! Don’t rush her out the door. Disgusted.

Like I understand being frustrated with a table that sits for a long time. Especially a large table. But there were open seats all over the restaurant and there was no wait. We actually spent another 30 minutes outside the restaurant. Because we were NOT ready to leave but we felt unwelcome.

I have contacted the corporate office. Our experience was that bad.

You need to talk with her. Unacceptable. Edit: We think her name was Chelsea, especially with seeing other reviews of other people having a similar experience. 👀 We have talked about it, she definitely did not charge everything we ordered. Multiple things we ordered were not on our checks, or on the wrong check. Sounds like she just wanted a big tip. But also, thats kind of stealing. Businesses charge certain prices for a reason, inventory and profit. We tallied it up and definitely should have been charged an additional $15 to $20.

Wasn't very good would give no stars but I couldn't so Igave 1 star. Sad it was our anniversary and my husband loves Mexican food so this was a surprise, we had friends meet us there. No one had been before so we all were looking forward to it. I never complain but the "Bathroom" really it was Nasty. No soap so how did the waitress coming out of the bathroom wash her hands? I went to every soap dispenser and they all were empty??? I told the waitress no soap and paper everywhere and female produces were on the floor in the big bathroom for no one to listen, because after dinner I went back to use the restroom hoping someone had cleaned it and it was the same no one cleaned it. WOW Sad. Sadly this night isn't turning out like I would hope. Let's talk about the food, My husband and I ordered the same thing so when we got our dinners first thing was we ordered the street corn, so when dinner arrived my husband told the waiter we ordered the street corn also. The waiters responce was oh we are out I guess I forgot to tell you. Wow Okay, so let's discuss our dinner, we both ordered the same dinner and it was so post to come with a cheese sauce on it. You wouldn't know it because it had very very little if any on it. So when I asked the waiter shouldn't this have a cheese sauce on it? He replied "yes it usually has more than that" but I don't touch the food I just take it to the tables. Really is this guy for real? This was very disappointing I'm trying very hard not to complain we have friends with us it'sour anniversary and it'sjust not gettingany better. So I asked the waiter to just bring us the cheese for it. Sounded simple enough so when we got our bill and this idiot charged us for extra cheese my husband got so mad. It wasn't the cost it was the fact he charged for what should have been there. I told my husband it wasn't worth the cost just pay it we learned. So my suggestion is save your money go to Taco...

Terrible place ...was like being in the twilight zone. Went there to grab an outside table and wait on a group of friends. This was my first ( and last ) time here. Grabbed a high top table sat there for over 25 minutes and watched the wait staff break down a double table set up , deliver food/drinks to other tables. Watched one waitress just sit right down with a table. All in all wait staff came out to the outside area no less than 23 times (yes I counted ) NOT ONE PERSON GREETED ME OR EVEN ACKNOWLEDGED THAT I EXISTED. The outside area had only a handful of customers. I decided to go inside and order a beverage...and to let someone know that I had friends joining me. The very moment I walked through the front door I ran smack into the hostess stand. ..that was my 1☆ moment!!! The hostess stand was about 20ft from my table with clear view of the outside area and...... the table where I was sitting. I told her (all of the above) that I had been sitting at the hightop out front.

She then informed me that I needed to come inside to tell someone that I needed service?

.I explained to the hostess that it was my first time there and that there were no signs or notices instructing me to do so.

While talkin to her I also speed dialed my friends and rerouted them to cinco de mayo. Where the service and food were superb. Finally a good end to a great day. Cantina louie failed at making a good first impression Definitely not a welcoming place. Failed at customer service Not friendly at...
