What can I say? I will start with this, my first time at this restaurant and was not fully impressed. As for staff 100% spot on, but as for food not sold on it. As per Toasted Yoke website "The mission was to provide a unique breakfast and lunch experience that was better than anything else they could find. To achieve that goal, the Toasted Yolk curated chef-inspired menus full of fresh, mouth-watering takes on our favorite foods". My experience was not as their statement, The Cowboy Scramble would not feed a cowboy as it suggests, the biscuits where hard to cut the bottoms of, the remainder of the biscuits where crumbly (I would of returned but feel they should serve the best they have at all times) beside the scramble eggs having bacon, sausage, ham and onions there was no seasoning on the eggs. The gravy should of smothered the biscuits and eggs, it did not. The grits were grits again no seasoning and butter on the side, but salt and pepper on the table, I get it people may want to season their own. The Gourmet coffee was good, but I didn't find it tasting any better then anyone else's coffee. My opinion is the prices were high for breakfast, that many Jacksonville breakfast joints can beat or even compete with. Cowboy Scrambler $17, Two egg breakfast $13 rounded up. Maybe it was a bad day, my opinion only, you be the judge. It's breakfast!

Do want to add that the cloth napkins had a sour smell to them as you're...

I had been reading reviews about this place that opened about a month ago and decided to visit for myself to see. My husband and I arrived about 1215 on a Tuesday and we were greeted by young lady named Tess. We were served our drinks very quickly and prompt. They do have a menu for mixed drinks specials on certain days of the week that we chose not to partake in, but it is an option with a full menu for coffee as well. The menu is very extensive on any of everything you could want for breakfast and also have lunch options. I chose to go with the lunch option and got the shrimp salad, which was really tasty with on a bit of lettuce with numerous grilled shrimp, corn, feta, and I opted for the vinaigrette on the side, and tomatoes. Everything was very fresh and tasty. I was definitely satisfied. My husband ordered the cowboy breakfast. That was a ton of food. It had what looked to be biscuits gravy eggs just everything you could want in a breakfast plate all in one. He also opted for French toast as a side and he opted to get the grits. He could not say enough about any of it because all of it was absolutely wonderful. I hope this little place continues because just as only open as one month And they were flawless. Service was on point, meal came out beautifully and we did not wait. Do yourself a favor and give the spot a chance because it is so...

I love breakfast! I came across The Toasted Yolk while looking for something else on Google maps. After seeing the pictures & reading the reviews I had to try.

While we got delivery, I can't comment on the service/atmosphere. But the food....

Avocado toast - no pic as I devoured it upon arrival. 😅 the pico was a nice touch to level up this typical fare.

Brisket tacos - my boyfriend has yet to taste but it looks & smells amazing.

Also ordered a biscuit with a side of gravy (as I didn't want to dedicate myself to a full portion). Biscuit was great, but the gravy was terrible. It had a layer of (I'm guessing) grease on top. No big deal, as thats part of the process of making gravy, so I dipped my biscuit in anyway. It taste sour. I love biscuits & gravy, I get it almost every time I go to a breakfast place, this gravy was not good. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt though. They may have an amazing gravy recipe, just on this particular day it might be a time/temp control issue.

We will definitely give this place another try. There's more things on the menu I would love to taste. As well as I want to experience the atmosphere/service everyone is raving about. Please fix your...

Walking in the place, looked busy and fresh. They didn’t have a designated area for DoorDash people who clogged the line for tables the hostess and servers were all very helpful and cordial. After I walked in, it only took about four minutes to be acknowledged and get a table, which was awesome service. The Moscow Mule and the fried banana peppers as a starter were nice, and after looking over the menu, I was excited to see the meals. I ordered the southern fried Arnold; the eggs were poached well but the gravy was sad so was the biscuit and the chicken, plus the hash brown casserole all of which were unseasoned. Everything was served cold and unseasoned with no flavor. The chicken was overcooked and the fried skin just a wet blanket. I would say the service is excellent, but with so many tables waiting for food the restaurant needs a new chef or an actual working kitchen. I’ve had better seasoning from up north.
