Hello readers of Google reviews! Welcome to my "two cents" on the B-Prime Steakhouse. Allow me to start off with the good as the list is brief. Service - impeccable. Our waiter Joe and the gentleman assisting (bussing) the surrounding tables was named Christian. They were outstanding! Good humor, polite, and extremely attentive. This was the one bright spot of our very first visit to this establishment.
Onto the environment; poor. This is a $60-200 plate of food establishment and you would not know it by the table layout and dress code (or lack thereof). We had a 24"x36" table for two people which is nowhere near adequate space to dine "luxuriously" or even comfortably for that matter. Our server was spectacular, and I overheard him apologize to every two person table to our left and right about the insufficient space provided to the tables for two. This issue is well known and nothing is being done to rectify the situation.
Touching on the lack of dress code; I understand this is a resort/casino and people are here to have fun. However, B-Prime is presented as a "high profile" establishment and the cliental should act accordingly. The table for eight to our left was filled some lovely young ladies accompanied by four gentleman wearing miscellaneous flat billed baseball caps. Come on folks, this is common etiquette 101. You don't wear a hat at the dinner table, especially in a nice restaurant. Secondly, we have Uncle Vinny to our right wearing sweat pants and a moisture wicking t-shirt with his kid in a hoodie pulled over his head. On the B-Prime website it clearly states the following, "Reservations and proper attire are required." Proper attire is apparently optional.
The table spacing on the main floor is awful. You have to walk through the place like a running back dodging tackles from a defensive line. There isn't 36" of room between chairs in any aisle in any direction. Have to use the restroom during your visit? Brace yourself to wait in line for 10-15 minutes or walk 100+ yards outside of the restaurant to the nearest restroom. This is not an exaggeration. I visited the restroom (or attempted to) on two occasions during our 120 minute visit to B-Prime and began to wait in a line of 6 gents for the men's facilities. After 5 minutes I left to utilize the restroom outside of the restaurant. Whomever designed these restrooms must have had a stroke while doing so. There is one men's and one women's restroom with a single toilet for the entire place which is serving 100-150 people at any given time.
The food: give...me...a...break! This is a steakhouse, and their chefs cannot cook a steak worth a damn. My wife and I always order the filet mignon when visiting a new steakhouse for the first time. Our thought process is that since this is a premium cut of beef which any place "worth their salt" can easily cook, this should be our go-to order to measure their ability. We both order medium-rare steaks and hers arrives well done and mine medium well. As to not insult our wonderful waiter Joe, I withhold my complaints and allow my wife to request a new cut of steak.
Joe returns in 4 minutes with a new steak, this time cooked medium/medium well. At this point we both know sending it back again won't do us any good. Here is the food highlight reel; rolls and brussels sprouts. Yes, you read that correctly, at a steakhouse the best food we consumed was the brussels sprouts and fresh baked rolls. The mashed potatoes were made without salt and extremely bland, and the coconut shrimp were fried so deeply we could barely cut through them.
This is our second attempt to eat at a Steakhouse on an MGM property, and we are 0/2. The Voltaggio Brothers steakhouse at the MGM National Harbor was even worse. That being said...
Dear MGM Resorts, do better. We are far from the most difficult customers you will have grace your steak serving restaurants and we have yet to receive a properly prepared steak from an MGM property. Thank you,...
Read moreI wanted very much to give this steakhouse a higher rating. I stayed at the Borgata for the weekend, and my party of four chose to dine at B Prime twice to confirm whether our initial experience was just an off night.
On our first visit, we ordered the King Crab California Roll and the caviar-crème fraîche topped tuna roll, both of which felt underwhelming given their price point compared to other recent sushi experiences. Additionally, we had several issues with service: some sides we ordered were never delivered, and instead of the two Kobe steaks we requested, we were served two Japanese beef flight. Not only was the order incorrect, but the 1 oz slices of beef were presented on a cold plate, which caused them to cool immediately upon serving. We informed our waiter about the missing sides and the mix-up with the order, and they adjusted the bill to remove the undelivered items and charge only for the flight rather than the Kobe steaks. However, throughout the evening, it felt as though our server was distracted, giving us the impression that they weren’t fully attentive—an issue I believe may have contributed to the communication error that resulted in our incorrect order. We had multiple cocktails that were a little too sweet to finish. However, On the positive side I can say I enjoyed the Rib Cap and the Scallops were not perfectly cooked, but the way the scallops were paired with the creamy grits and crispy speck was great.
Wanting to give the restaurant another opportunity, we returned the next night. This experience was slightly better, as all the items we ordered were delivered. We started with a salad and shrimp cocktail as appetizers, which were fine, and appreciated that the restaurant offered a wide wine selection where we could find some of our favorite bottles. For our main course, we ordered a tomahawk steak, a 6 oz Kobe steak, a filet mignon, and a chateaubriand. However, we faced another issue with food temperature: when the dishes arrived, the tomahawk steak was noticeably cold, while the smaller cuts were not. It seemed that the tomahawk had been prepared first and left to rest too long. While the staff was able to reheat the tomahawk, the sides also arrived much later than expected. While the mashed potatoes and mushrooms I can recommend, I cannot recommend the broccoli rabe.
Now, for the reason I’m giving B Prime two stars: I understand that communication errors can happen, but experiencing multiple issues with different staff members across both nights suggests deeper operational issues within the restaurant. For a restaurant at this price point—where we ordered steaks priced from $100-$265 each, along with multiple appetizers, sides, and drinks—I expected a higher standard of service and culinary quality. Unfortunately, my impression is that B Prime, behind it's glamorous bar and dining area, is a commercial kitchen that relies on high-end ingredients without delivering the consistent excellence one expects from a top-tier steakhouse. Even if price is not an issue for you, I would recommend exploring other options such as Gordon Ramsay Steakhouse at Harrah's and Amada at Ocean, where I've consistently enjoyed reliable service, high-quality food, and a far more polished...

After a bad first experience and a lot of disagreeing opinions with my own I thought I’d give B PRIME another go.
Perhaps it was just an off night, perhaps our party was to large to accommodate at the peak of the dinner rush? I am not sure because the second time around… BPrime knocked it out of the park.
We were greeted by 2 very professional young women who showed us to our table promptly.
Within moments the head waiter arrived to take our order while his assistant filled our water glasses and brought some of the most delicious rolls you’ve ever had (seriously if you usually don’t eat bread….. you should just do it here. YOLO).
Our drinks arrived to the table prompt and our water glasses never begged for a topping off.
We started the feast with the Pork Belly and Tuna Tartare.
The pork belly was so crispy yet so tender. Once you got through the slight snap of the crackling it was utterly pleasurable and I found myself wanting for more.
The Tuna was on point, not much to say there because i don’t want to lose you’re interest before I get to the dinner.
It was 3 of us and so we decided to share an array of items for our entree which was not a problem with our waiter.
Our table was crumbed and cleaned of all dirty dishes and cutlery after the first course and fresh beautifully polished gold silver wear and heavy German steak knives arrived moments before our dinner spread came zipping out of the kitchen.
First dropped the SeaBass which wasn’t bad, but then again we were at a steak house and almost felt we had no business even ordering the fish…..
The 14oz boneless NY StrIp steak was enough for the 3 of us to share and arrived perfectly medium, juicy and crispy at the very edges. An extremely tasty steak that the waiter sliced for us table side.
For sides we went with the mushroom, mashed potatoes, French fries and the creamed spinach. All were absolutely delicious and the only thing that stopped us from scrapping the bowls clean were the tightening waistbands.
The waiter was charming and insisted we try a dessert and so we took an order of doughnuts to go which made for an amazing midnight snack.
At one point the GM passed by to make sure everything was going well which was a very nice touch. He even walked away with an empty beer bottle that was finished a second before he arrived. I thought that was amazing to see. I’ve been to other places where it would have just been pointed out and delegates to another employee.
All in all this second visit truly changed my mind about B Prime and I can say we will absolutely be back! Thank You for an amazing dinner ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
Original experience below so you can see sometimes a place really does need a second chance.
Everyone has an off night.
Not worth the money.
Service is mediocre , food is eh, drinks are not made well.
Very over priced for what they provide
Bill was 500 bucks and waiter forgot several things we ordered
The steak was not 40oz…..
Goto Ruth’s Chris ; don’t go here !
