Newest visit - OK, Bonillas has become our go-to place for local takeout. Burgers, wraps fries, papusas and pizza are all solid and the counter service continues to be efficient and friendly. Our orders are always accurate, hot and ready quickly. I struggle with trying new items once I find ones I like, but their consistency leaves me wondering what I'm missing out on!
Updated visit: Poblano ranch burger with curly fries, Bourbon Teriyaki Tenders and a volcano canzone - everything was solid and their "small" calzone is large! Forgot to add previously, their papusa combo is SO good!
Update with more recent visit: Picked up wings, tenders, and a quesadilla. Everything was ready when I arrived and the employee behind the counter was friendly, but when I got home, noticed there was barely any sauce on the wings and tenders - probably not even half as much as they've added in the past. I could tell they weren't plain, but struggled to find much of a flavor. This is the first questionable experience I've had here and will return for sure. I've hyped this place up to a handful of people, so I hope they have a solid experience like I've had in the past.
I always have a positive experience here. In the past, it's taken a while for delivery, so I pick it up - totally worthwhile and the employees are always friendly. Price might be a little higher than other places, but I've never regretted it! Big fan of their wings and pizza, still need to try something new - they have...
Read moreI used to visit Eli's and when this place moved in the changed menu left my regular order of Ziti and Sausage there with Red Sauce gone. On top of that as a regular Slice user, I found it odd that a new owners/new menu place somehow because it was the same building and address maybe... Idk, but it didn't start fresh on Slice but inherited over a thousand Eli's reviews. Makes no sense and Idk really why they would but that's a Slice issue-- I'm just saying the why of why I waited so long to try Bonilla's. Anyway I did and found the pizza decent enough though I prefer it a tad more done in the middle. That said the Cobb salad I ordered was phenomenal. It had cukes, red and green bell peppers, carrots, I'm forgetting what else. Everything was as fresh and crisp as could be. The bacon bits and boiled eggs were perfectly done. The oblicatory accompanying pita bread slices were the softest and again freshest I've seen in years. I also arrived a bit before my scheduled time as I prefer to be early for food than letting it sit any. The place looks the same but I get even more family vibe now as it was a pretty young fellow manning the counter who I'm going to guess is a son. Anyway he was very attentive and the service along with the food very good. If anyone hasn't tried them yet, all I can say is that for the cost of one meal you really should. I...
Read moreFirst off, I will say that the service has been great here. Excellent customer service and the owner is very friendly and cheerful.
I’ve eaten here twice. Both times the food was way too greasy. I used to love Eli’s Pizza so I really wanted to give the new guys a chance.
First meal, the pupusas were so hot and greasy they were melting the styrofoam takeout containers by the time I got home five minutes away. They were decent, but swimming in grease.
This was the same for the second meal, a pepperoni and black olive pizza. Despite the pizza going straight from the oven into the box and into my hands, by the time I’d made the short ride home the crust was soggy and soaked with grease. There was too much pepperoni, making the pizza too salty to enjoy. If the pizza had been less greasy, I think I would’ve liked it. The crust was nice, just soggy from grease. At least I didn’t waste any money because the pizza was graciously comped when they burned the first one (no big deal, customer service was on point).
Despite the great service and friendliness, I don’t want to...
