Ah, let me take you on a whimsical journey, dear reader, to the most curious little bagel haven where I embarked on not one, but two grand culinary escapades.

On my first visit, I wandered in, the air alive with the intoxicating aroma of freshly baked bagels and the buzz of a busy morning. I eagerly ordered the Southwest Wrap, imagining a fiesta of flavors awaiting me. The wrap arrived, hearty and filled, but—alas!—it lacked that dash of seasoning, the spice that would turn it into the true southwest adventure I had hoped for. It was a bit of a letdown, truth be told—mid, as some might say. But the place itself still held charm, and I left knowing my journey was not yet over.

Fast forward to my second visit, and this is where the magic truly happened. The moment I stepped through the door, I was met by the warmest of smiles from the server—a new character in my story, and a delightful one at that. They greeted me as though I was an old friend returning to a familiar kitchen. Their hospitality was something special, instantly making me feel just at home. It was like they knew this was going to be the day my culinary quest turned into legend.

This time, I took control of my destiny and built my own omelette—yes, built it, carefully selecting ingredients as if I were crafting a masterpiece. And, of course, I couldn’t resist adding a bagel to the mix, toasted to perfection. With a spring in my step, I took my seat, and when the plate arrived, I knew right away: this was it. The omelette was fluffy, bursting with flavor in every bite, and the bagel—oh, the bagel!—was a golden ring of perfection, crunchy on the outside and delightfully soft on the inside.

It was pure breakfast bliss, and I couldn’t help but smile as the server, checking in, made the experience even brighter. Their warmth and friendliness transformed what was already a great meal into something unforgettable.

So, dear reader, while my first visit left me pondering what could have been, it was the second trip that turned this bagel spot into a beloved stop on my breakfast adventures. The server’s hospitality, like a comforting blanket, made the experience truly magical. And now, I can't wait to return and see what other wonders await me in this...

Absolutely None of what you are about to read is hyperbole. The names have not been changed to protect the innocent, because The Bagel Spot is not innocent; it is guilty - Guilty of having the best bagels in Michigan.

Today, I was driving down Adams road, and I said to myself "I really would love a good bagel; I need to make a point and go get one." As I pulled up to the light at the intersection where this restaurant is, I just happened to look over to my right, and there stood The Bagel Spot. So I flipped a u-ey and came back around!

I'm originally from New Jersey, so when I walked in, my eyes got big- but because I'm from New Jersey I had to play it cool..

But since moving here to Michigan, I have wanted a great bagel. (I have absolutely loved the food scene here, one of my favorites in the world throughout all of my travels) - but alas, finding a bagel that reminds me of growing up on the East Coast is tough, and I respect that. I'm not on the East Coast anymore, and I make no complaints; to the contrary, I love living here. But I'm not going to sugarcoat this, I still love a solid bagel. It's part of my life's history.. Kind of like if any of native Michiganders travel the world and have a yearning for a Vernors or Faygo.

So, walking in, my hopes were high, and all the bagel Spot did is take those High hopes, strap a 1.21 gigawatt rocket to them, and shoot them up even higher! I can say, unequivocally, that that is probably the best Bagel I've had since moving here to Michigan. As much as I love going home to New Jersey and visiting my family, and my next stop being the local bagel shop- this has become my go-to Bagel spot... With only one Bagel.

And more importantly, they were incredibly kind, and friendly during the whole process of picking a bagel. I enjoyed talking to them!

Thank you Bagel Spot, you made this Jersey guy miss home a...

Im a foodie through and though, so whenever I saw this small business pop up I was DYING to try it. Whenever I came in I was greeted by every employee, who all had upbeat, positive, radiating energy. Even though it was getting pretty busy in store, every employee took time to chat with every customer on such a personable level. Now whenever I get bagels, I normally get them toasted. But if an employee recommends not to, I had to give it a shot. Oh man, my breakfast bagels were perfect as is! To my knowledge they make the bagels fresh everyday in house, and you can truly tell with the quality and how perfect every bite is. I got two sandwich’s for my coworker and I so we could try and we got the Western and the Italian both on Asiago cheese. Eggs are extremely light and fluffy, and the right amount of toppings are on both bagels. Meat was extremely fresh and flavorful. Food took about five minutes, and they are speedy! you can tell the staff truly want to support the small business which is refreshing to hear. Whenever I spoke with an employee, the way he spoke so highly of the owners which was amazing! I cannot wait to come back, as prices are a little high you’re paying for quality. That’s all that matters now a days, food is expensive but quality...

Discovered this gem with my boyfriend after he moved to Auburn Hills, and it’s quickly become our go-to spot for breakfast sandwiches on the weekends. The food is super tasty, with plenty of options to build your own or choose from their signature creations. I highly recommend the ‘Morning Stimulus’—everything is made in-house, so while it’s a bit pricey, it’s absolutely worth it compared to fast food. The hash browns, whether as a side or added to your sandwich, are a fantastic touch. The staff is wonderful—welcoming, patient, and happy to recommend options to satisfy any craving. Today, I tried their plain blue bagel topped with silver glitter in honor of the Detroit Lions (GO LIONS!). What a fun and creative twist! I’m excited to explore more of their breakfast and lunch specials soon.

We were heading to a morning event in Pontiac and looking for a breakfast spot nearby, which is how we came across this place. I am VERY particular about bagels, but this place was top quality! We later learned that the owner is from New Jersey, so clearly we were dealing with people who had high standards for bagels! I had the whole wheat everything bagel with the lox spread. There was a ton of lox in this spread, which is pretty rare! My wife had the Chicken Palermo and said it had great flavor. Everyone working there was friendly and helpful. There are also 3 or 4 tables, if you want to dine in (we were the only people doing that on the morning we were there). A great spot for bagels (pun intended) - I’ll definitely be back!
