My first time eating at a Korean restaurant. The food is certainly very authentic as the menu is written in Korean with English notes. The staff is helpful in explaining what things are and making suggestions for what we might like. We have had some Korean food before as we have had a frozen beef bilgolgi and I have made a chicken version from scratch. My daughter opted for a beef bilgolgi hot pot, while my wife chose a ramyun hot bow. I chose the special which was a choice of several Korean soups and stews as well as a main dish. I chose the kimchi stew and the beef bilgolgi. This came with additional sides of kimchi, sweet potatoes in honey, radish kimchi, pickles, and fish something. All of it was good and while some was spicy, nothing was tongue torchingly hot. The authenticity of the place was brought home as other guest arrived. We we first but the next five groups that arrived were Korean who conversed with the staff in Korean. If you are an experienced foodie with a knowledge of Korean cuisine or adventurous, by all means try this delightful place. If you are a newbie to the food, do a little research then...
Read moreI'd be lying if I told you I knew what I just ate. I have no Idea. But it was good whatever it was. The bibimbab or something. Really strange. Really delicious. Great service. Edit: OK guys seriously. Just got done talking with the owner. The food is all fresh. Ms. Kim makes all of it and it's all made from scratch. And make sure you tell them it's your first time, they'll make you sample a bunch of random stuff and it's all really good an unique. This place isn't getting near the traffic it should for the incredible quality and low price. I know it looks like a bunch of nerds would go there because of the glaring anime sign plastered to the wall but you know one thing about nerds? They're freaking smart. And this place is as good as it gets. By far Auburn's best kept secret. Seriously. Get off your phone/computer, get into your car, and go give this place a try. If you don't like it, come find me and I'll give you your money back. Jokes. I'm in college. I don't have any money. Auburn took it all....
Read moreI indulged in a delightful dining experience, savoring the following exquisite dishes: 1️⃣ Kimchi Jjigae with Grilled Mackerel 2️⃣ Spicy Soft Tofu Soup with Stir Fried Spicy Pork 3️⃣ Nae Jang Tang
The initial offering, Kimchi Jjigae, erred on the side of excessive sweetness and saltiness; however, the Grilled Mackerel provided a satisfactory balance. 🌟 The second course was a gustatory delight, with the Spicy Soft Tofu Soup and particularly the Stir Fried Spicy Pork showcasing exceptional flavors. 👌 As for the third dish, Nae Jang Tang emerged as the pièce de résistance, consistently standing out as the highlight of my visits. 😋 This culinary masterpiece boasts a consistently delectable flavor profile.
Commendably, the earthen pot employed in serving maintained the optimal temperature throughout, allowing us to relish the piping hot, smoky delicacies from the first bite to the last. 🍲 A culinary haven where warmth and flavor converge, ensuring a memorable...
