Savanh Thai Takeout — Restaurant in Auburn

I love Savanh Thai and decided to try the take out mainly because that’s where the original location redirected me because of their long wait time.

I ordered the Massaman Curry, which was fairly comparable to the original restaurant (just maybe less rice). The appetizer, however, was not the same as I have had before—not only was less peanut sauce provided, but also as I was eating one of the rolls there was a long string of plastic inside. I am sure (and hope!) it is just the plastic that these thin summer rolls come wrapped in, but it made the dish unappetizing. I would be concerned if a child ate this because it could have been a choking hazard!

Otherwise, the wait time was great and the ambience and efficiency was much better for take out than the original restaurant.

My only request is that they make sure to take all the plastic out of their summer rolls...

I ordered Pad Thai and fried rice as a side. The taste of the food itself was excellent. However, I requested spicy level 3 for the Pad Thai, and when I got home and tried it, I couldn’t taste any spiciness at all—not even a little. I’m curious whether this is what the restaurant’s level 3 spiciness is supposed to taste like, or if perhaps the chef forgot to add the spice.

Since the flavor of the food was great overall, I’m definitely considering ordering again. I’m just not sure if I should go with a higher spice level next time or stick with level 3 and see if it was just a...

I never leave reviews but they went above and beyond! I ordered delivery through Grubhub because I am sick and when the driver was an hour late with no progress, one of the employees called and offered to cancel the Grubhub order, have me pay over the phone and deliver it to me themselves after they closed.
