Happy Buns — Restaurant in Auburn

My boyfriend and I wanted to get some malasadas early from the truck next door and decided to grab some lunch while we wait for them to open. We were greeted by the owner/chef/cashier who also delivers food to nearby businesses which is pretty amazing! We got the loaded spicy dog combo and Seattle dog combo which is just a side of fries with their homemade sauce for an extra dollar.

There were three picnic tables nearby the truck so we sat on those with our fur babies while enjoying the food. The hot dogs are huge and packed with goodies. I have been to different hot dog stands and trucks that boast that they load their hot dogs but I truly think Happy Buns knows the real definition of loaded. The hot dogs were cooked to perfect not being extremely burnt but grilled nicely. The bacon wrapped hot dog was just added an extra layer of texture and flavor. The buns were toasted too and kept everything together. I wouldn't say the hot dog was spicy though but that's alright as they do have Tapatío, as well as other popular condiments available. One issue that my boyfriend and I had though was that the hot dog was extremely hard to eat with your hands. They do offer utensils however, so definitely pick some up. I just hope that won't be the case for the burgers as I really don't like messy and soggy buns. My other issue is that the combo is just for fries but not a drink and I feel like combos should include a drink, but that's my personal preference. You can easily just get a drink from the nearby smoke shop as they have drinks for cheaper. Other than that, this is a great burger spot for decent...

We were starving and Googled fast food near me —best accidental life choice ever. The truck SEATTLE DOG. One bite and I swear I heard angels singing. Cream cheese with sauerkraut on a hot dog? Absolute genius. This will be my forever way to build it. Only Sauerkraut-on dogs… they’re basically prehistoric food at this point. From now on, I’m a cream cheese evangelist, spreading the gospel of the Seattle Dog. Thank you for making it with love—and for completely wrecking every other hot dog experience...

I was looking for a good burger place and stopped by Happy Buns food truck based on some reviews. Ordered the burger with the jalapeños. All delicious! Good size patty and the fixing portions in the burger were great too. We also enjoyed some garlic fries and the service was perfect. Definitely will go...
