SKIP LOUSY COLFAX MCDONALD'S!!! NEWLY REMODELED McDonald's in Auburn at the FORESTHILL EXIT! (( RIGHT NEAR THE CHEAPEST GAS PRICES BETWEEN ROSEVILLE AND TAHOE!!!)) Massive amounts of parking, no upcharges on value pricing, clean and ample restrooms AND a double drive-thru AND AND courteous, competent and clean staff running the drive-thru, what a concept!!!! If you are going up the hill or heading down, check this place out!!! (I promise it's worth the few extra driving minutes/miles if you are headed back from the high country...) If you are on a van or bus trip or just have a fussy family, there are also other fast food establishments, restaurants, a Starbucks and a grocery store within walking distance. McDonald's is a treat for me so when I get it, I want it hot, correct and courteous. I was 100% satisfied with this newly remodeled location. Hope this helps!!! Here's the deal with this review: I frequent this McDonald's regularly, and most of the time the service is very good. However, I am usually here in the morning time. Right now, I am sitting here at 5:29 in drive thru purgatory awaiting my McChicken and small fry; not a complex order. I ordered at 5:07 and there were two cars ahead of me and only two in the parking lot. As I sat waiting for the kids inside to finally decide to do their jobs (I saw them through the window laughing and playing without a care in the world, not even my order), I watched the drive thru get backed up and others sent to purgatory as well.
