We have been regulars at this restaurant since they opened. We will never step foot in this or any Darden owned businesses unless addressed properly. After a week that our community has suffered unfathomable things, as a family (6 of us) intended to have a celebratory dinner out after our sons last game. We walked in at 9:45pm and on employee walked away and hid to bot wait on us, then we were sat by a nice young lady. We were waiting for our son and his girlfriend to arrive and were patiently waiting. After a few minutes waitress very politely told is she would be right with us as she was helping another party. We said “no problem take your time.” At 9:59 the manager came and told us that he is aware we waiting for two more people to join us for dinner but they would not be allowed in. He was argumentative and arrogant. “He said after what happened last week in our city it was to protect his staff and other customers because how would he know if we were trying to get in to do something nefarious.” He the. Said there was no flexibility and it was a Darden policy. We tried to have a discussion but of course my family was not going to eat without our son. When we said we were leaving he was like ok. Picked up our menus and walked us out. Not sure, but its like he didnt want more customers for the night, was discriminating against us for some reason, or profiling us. Again, have had many amazing interactions at this restaurant but Jake has ruined that. I hope management above this manager on a power trip can set this record straight or confirm they feel he was right? None the less, we will share our experiences with our family, friends, and people we would of referred there like we have in the past so they do not get treated this way. It was embarrassing and...
Read moreI counted down for olive garden to open.. legit at 10:32p.m. I got out of work and immediately called takeout. I start heading towards the "O.G. " Before my order gets took. . Was on phone 7 mins with nice lady, took our order, said 10:58 take out order would be ready. So I start to head there, at 10:54 I called back to see if we could get an extra order of bread sticks, I was asked to hold by a gentleman, sure no problem, well 11:00 Ryan the general manager answers and says can I help you? I explained I just placed an order and was wondering if I could add a bread sticks. He said I'm sorry we are closed? We are taking no more orders, so I go over, I already ordered and I'm confused I just placed an order? I'm 1 mins from you. Gps says 11:02 pm. He explains that he could get fired if he opens the front doors and brings food out. He can write our name down and give us a dessert. ?? What? You close at 11? Answer the phone ask me to hold I do. .. took two Mims to tell me that you could lose your job if anymore food even take out orders already made , walks out the front doors? I'm floored. Loose his job ? Registers weren't closed yet? U close at 11. It's 1101 as ur explaining this ludicrous story about getting fired. At this point I'm in the parking lot. It's been 3 mins .. 1103 and I'm not getting my food when we hang up. . Explained I was in driveway already. ... nope nothing. Dessert is best he could do? No other manager on duty. I asked for one was told he was it! I strongly urge for hire ups to have this conversion with general management- Ryan that this is absolutely ludicrous . Unprofessional and a desert and name on a list is absolutely not effective especially after everything being explained... I still...
Read moreI normally love Olive Garden. First time going to this location. Not very welcoming. Sat down, ordered fairly quickly. Waited a large chunk of time for the main course. Think the server really depended on my party to utilize the tablet to call him over, seems he wasn't very attentive. Food came and due to the wait we had finished our waters. Brought the food and ran. Leaving us with food but no liquid to drink while consuming the food. When he did come over he seemed confused. Asked for a container for the left overs for him to bring us bread sticks.Again set the bread sticks down and left the table.Tried the new garlic and herb.Couldn't eat it cause the garlic was overpowering. Luckily I got the waiter to stay an extra second so I could request a refill for the waters. Regretted ordering a desert. Remembered seeing the featured pumpkin cheesecake. Saw my top notch waiter to ask for a slice of cheesecake to go. He said okay and ran yet again. Without asking which one. I put my head down, thinking of crap I'm sure there is more then one. Concerned I grabbed that handy tablet. Sure enough saw there were two different ones. Brought the strawberry. I apologized for not being specific, so that was on me. Should of been smarter considering how the service was going. He was nice and swapped it out Once the bill was paid and a goodbye from the waiter. Off we went without any acknowledgement from the welcome scene from when we first arrived, but this time with nobody waiting and just the two at the desk. Without a moment to say hey have a good evening... I can't help but wonder if the atmosphere is like this now at all locations and question if I...
