Pho Time — Restaurant in Auburn

It was my first time ordering from them, but I give them a 5/5 for their service alone. I originally ordered an oxtail pho, shrimp fresh rolls, and a banh mi.

However, while they were processing my order, they called to let me know that they were out of the banh mi and asked if I wanted to replace it with anything. I just asked to remove it.

When my order was delivered, I was pleasantly surprised to see that they offered me some complimentary shrimp spring rolls! It was such a nice, classy touch and unexpected treat.

The food itself was quite good. The shrimp fresh rolls were stuffed with lettuce, noodles, and shrimp. The shrimp spring roll was fried perfectly and bursting with whole shrimps. Unlike most places where it's just a few measly stuffing, their spring rolls were abundant.

As for the oxtail pho, they gave us a generous amount of oxtail-- like 4 big pieces. The broth was rich, flavorful, and had a good mouthfeel. My only complaint was that the oxtail wasn't as tender as I'd prefer, but it was still very delicious.

The pho portions were disappointingly small and was expensive for the amount of food. $32 for 2 small orders of pho and 4 fresh rolls...really?! No wonder there is a sign at the register that says no refunds on food already made. I could literally hold it all in my hand. Shrimp spring rolls had no flavor. The peanut sauce was as thin as water with no flavor to it. How do you mess up peanut sauce!? The broth was bland with only the flavor of some spices. They brought us the wrong food twice, forgot what our order was, they brought the food out individual instead of as a table, the chicken was crunchy and burnt, the tables had only on napkin per side, they didn't understand simple English to take my order, there were flys flying all over the room food tables and when I went to pay they still didn't know what I had ordered I had to tell them again.
