A friend recommended that we try this place. Our first time was around 8pm on a Saturday night. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Inside, if you are unlucky enough to sit in the same room with a loud table, then be prepared to yell at your dinner date - there us no sound dampening in here. One table with 4 guests were so obnoxiously loud that we could not hear our own conversation. Luckily the friendly and helpful staff sympathized with us and moved us to a table in another room. But if you visit on a crowded night, that may not be an option. We had the Spicy Blue Crab Dip as an appetizer - there was a little heat, but it was otherwise mushy and bland. We both ordered off of the daily special menu. I had the Sea Bass (pictured) and he had the Ribeye. My sea bass was cooked well and was served with very fresh vegetables and grilled green tomatoes; but the flavor was lacking, it was just kind of plain, even with the BĂŠarnaise sauce. I had a glass of Sauvignon blanc with the dish. Hubby ordered his ribeye medium rare, but it was served medium well - we may need to attribute that to the noise level of the other table though, our server may not have been able to hear him over the noise. He said that there was almost no marbeling in his steak, only a small area near one outside edge. He did enjoy the accompanying sides. For dessert, we split the Bananas Foster Bread Pudding - which I very much recommend. This was the best thing we had at The Depot. In all, with 2 drinks, an appetizer, 2 entrĂŠes, and a dessert (they actually comped the dessert because we moved tables due to the noise) after tip we spent $160'ish here. I am interested in trying again, maybe picking something from the regular menu instead of the daily special. Again, their servers were great and really seemed to work well together - refilling waters, delivering dishes, and bussing each others tables. Even the valet workers were nice. There is a bar area in the first room you enter, then we were originally seated in the next room. We moved to the third room to finish our meal, and it looked like there may have been more seating areas further down the building, but I never went further than the 3rd room. There was also...

The location is very unique, sitting right off the tracks featuring a 150-year-old train depot, impeccably restored. The food is complete art! The seafood selections are out of this world, and they are always changing. Selections from Hawaii that are flown in fresh every week. The hardest part is deciding. The appetizers; Mahi Mahi fritters with little jalapenos on top were great, the Coconut Curry Gulf Shrimp were so great, and the sauce was perfect with the bread, and the Cobia Wings! Wow! What a presentation! Just superb. For a meal, I had a piece of Blackened Mahi Mahi with andouille rice, was the best Iâve ever had! My wife had the monkfish, similar to a lobster taste, it was divine! I really donât think you could go wrong if you closed your eyes and pointed! The Pork Chop is something I will try, as it sounds spectacular as well. For dessert, we had the Bread Pudding (Best Iâve ever had!), the Chocolate Expresso Pots De Crème and a tart with peaches on top. All were impressive, but oh that bread pudding! The drinks were generously poured and there was quite a selection choose from in specialty drinks. The service was as good as the best Iâve ever had. Not rushed, attentive and plenty of hands on deck to serve. When the dinner came, there was multiple staff present with the entrees and were extremely professional. The prices were reasonable for the quality, selection and service we were offered. I cannot say enough about the entire experience. I will be back and would be honored to bring a guest to share in...

Visiting The Depot in Auburn was extra special for our familyâbecause my son works there, and we had the joy of experiencing the restaurant not just as guests, but through his world.
From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, full of Southern charm and historic beauty. The building itselfâa restored train depotâis stunning, with its open layout, rustic elegance, and inviting energy that instantly makes you feel at home.
But the highlight of our evening? Knowing my son grilled our steaks in the kitchen with pride and professionalism. As a mom, it was such a meaningful experience to see him doing what he loves, surrounded by a supportive and talented team. The staff was wonderfulâwelcoming us like family and making sure it was a night to remember.
The food, of course, was absolutely outstanding. The steaks were grilled to perfectionâjuicy, tender, and full of flavor. Every course was crafted with care and attention to detail. But I have to rave about the peach and corn cobblerâwhat a creative and delicious twist on a classic Southern dessert! The warm peaches paired with the gentle sweetness and texture of corn made for a unique and comforting finish to the meal. Don't forget the ice cream!
Service was top-tierâgracious, attentive, and genuinely kind. Whether youâre a first-timer or a regular, the staff make you feel like you're part of something special.
