Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Auburndale

Service was top notch. Manager had conversation and didn't take my money and boot me out ever though it was 11:10. Food was very good but a little shy on the fries. Not a big deal but just being honest. I go out of my way to this particular chilli's as the north 98 and harden Blvd are closet to me. Service is not there and it's sad as it falls on the business where it's actually I or 2 individuals that make it that way. I manage a part store and I pride myself on making sure my team directs all and any issues to me as I don't want my team.members to get into a scene by some chance as it happens but, I hate to lose a customer over a simple problem that can be fixed simply by, communication and guiding our valued customers to what and where they need to be at. It's a painful experience when anyone loses a good customer to a simple mistake or a little attitude which I try to assure my team to leave at their home. Food for thought of course, and I know it's always easier said than done. It's life but I always assure to my store team...our customers pay them and keeping them coming back is a rewarding experience. Customer for life. Once again, your store is very good, clean as for what customers can see. I see your team members are friendly and seem to all get along which is soooo important. Lastly, that manager you have which helped me along with his waitress was professional, very good personality, didn't, again take my money and kick me out especially when they are trying to get out after a hard day/night of work. He was good and had conversation and just deserves an atta boy, a good pat on the back, a good reward of some sort. Again, it's hard to find a truly good crew to keep good business going. ZERO STARS... Friday at 5 pm. We ordered and only after complaining did we receive our food OVER an HOUR LATER. This is a bit excessive. No apology from the waitress (Tiffany). She acted like it was normal and didn't see a problem at all. My first Skinny Patron Margarita was great. The second was not drinkable. My husband took it to the bar himself because otherwise it would have never gotten there and was told "I am the only bartender and if you don't like that one then you won't like the 2nd one either because I'm the only one making them." So he returned with the same drink. 😖 The manager, apparently, made me another drink (my husband saw the bartender make) and it was drinkable and as good as the first. My son never got another apple juice that was asked for. My other son's hamburger was ordered plain however it came with everything on it. My bacon ranch chicken quesadillas looked like half of them had been deep fried. There were not many people when we showed up at 5 and were told by the hostess that most of the staff doesn't get there until 5:30... An odd thing to say to customers. When we left at 7 o'clock the line was out the door. This must be why they don't...

I visited this Auburndale location twice in seven days. I was able to get in the first visit after an unnecessarily long wait. It was about 20 minutes. There were SEVERAL empty clean tables. Apparently they were short on wait staff. The food was good though. Last night I went again, this time with my wife, our two sons and their wives and three children. We were looking forward to dinner after a long work day and a little league baseball game. We were told we had a 45 minute wait. I went in to use the restroom and noted that there was an entire empty section on the west side of the restaurant. In addition there were other empty tables around as well. About four of them. I went back outside were my family was waiting and one of our daughters informed us that the hostess said it would be at least another solid 30 minutes. Our daughter suggested we walk over to Taco Bell. So we did. I don't know what is going on at this Chili's location but it needs some not so TLC from management perhaps.
