Bruster's Real Ice Cream — Restaurant in Augusta

Wanted a little treat with the family! Bruster’s definitely has some high quality ice cream to satisfy any persons taste buds! The ice cream is a 5 Star treat, no question!

The ordering process, time of service and seating really negatively impact the experience. For this reason, I can not give a rating higher than 4 Stars!

Please note: Most cashiers take in the order and serve that person before taking the next order. This gives the perception that multitasking is very limited in this establishment and the staff must work on one item at a time before moving to the next item.

Suggestion to all readers! If you order a simple cone or cup of ice cream then your wait will be minimal and you will be highly satisfied!

If you want something special like the Banana Split, a Sundae, or the special Apple Dumpling seasonal item; then expect to wait a while. It is not uncommon that the rest of your party will be finished with their cones long before you get your specialty item is served.

Also, the drive-thru takes a long time to get the line of cars served! Today I was able to get my Banana split and finish it before 1 car moved one spot in the drive-thru.

I'm vegan... Only for seven months now and had literally just heard a radio commercial saying that Bruster's has now vegan selection or options until I went in and yes it's true they do have options in rotation I wish that the commercial has said that at this location they only had two options in rotation one just happened to be one that I was looking at on the menu so I was thankful I believe it's called peanut butter banana ripple and Vanilla... (I don't do vanilla) so my ice cream was really good I liked it. I would absolutely get that flavor again my gripe is that for you to advertise vegan selections you really should have more than two in rotation if they are not going to carry all... I think it was literally 10 or 12 options if you're not going to have all of those available at one time I guess I can understand that but, to only have two to choose from and one of the two is simple vanilla........

This Brusters is awful in terms of running out of the most popular flavors often. You sit in the drive-thru line in your car to find out that every flavor you waited for is out. I visited this location 2 times, I paid for 3 scoops that was the equivalent of 1 whole scoop. To be honest, I know that they skimp on the scoops purposely because this is the only Brusters in Augusta and people will patronize regardless. Before I moved to Augusta, I lived in John's Creek, GA so I know what 1 to 3 scoops look like and the presentation much better. My visit yesterday was my last visit. I ASKED FOR WAFFLE CONE W 3 SCOOPS that of new flavors I have never tried because they were out of blueberry, rasberry etc. I got a sugar cone turned upside down in a small cup. The ice cream tasted old & freezer burned. When I have a craving for ice cream I will go to Kroger for my sugar cones and Fat Boy raspberry...
