I am from Augusta and Barberitos is a normal sit down restaurant that I used to go to before I joined the Navy. They’ve always been friendly and generous with their portions and the atmosphere is always relaxed. I recently came back home to visit for leave and of course I had to stop by since it used to be one of my favorites and the experience was… different. The portion sizes have drastically decreased like I’m 6” 220 and I eat a lot for the gym and what not and I used to not be able to finish a whole burrito, but when I went the burrito was so small I finished and was still hungry after so I had to go get something else to eat. I ordered a burrito and a bowl on two separate occasions and the bowl by far was the smallest bowl I have ever seen from here. I might as well have went to chipotle. The workers are nice and it’s still a cool chill spot but I don’t know what it is maybe they’re trying to cut down on food cost but I have to say I wish they would be a little more generous as they previously were… especially for the...
Read moreGood food, but today, Father's Day evening, we received Very rude customer service by a staff worker and manager. My husband made mistake on order and quickly corrected it before the meal was prepared. The worker slammed and snatched things in our presence to let us know how upset she was with the mistake. She goes in back and tell manager her side of what just happened; instead of the manager apologizing for her rude behavior, she proceeded to tell "us" how the worker treated us and basically we are lying about what we just experienced, even with out her being present at the time of the incident. So, we were not only wrong- we didn't have the sense to know how - as a paying customer- how we both my husband and myself - had just been treated!! It was, needless to say, infuriating to be treated as "dumb customers" whose patonage was worthless! This May not affect there bottom line but they lost a loyal customer- not from the employee behavior, but the "Managers"...
Read moreSecond review. I went back a while back and it was getting busier at the time. I got my order and wanted to get salsa but one of the scoopers was dipped in the salsa completely. I didn't want to stick my hand in nor get it out somehow and use neither the salsa or the scooper. I told the cashier who was busy. She was nice enough to stop what she was doing after a while and went to the back to grab something. She got the scooper out but then put the new scooper right in the sauce then went back to the register. The salsa is contaminated with people's dirty hands... there are no sanitizer before they touch the scooper. I wish they changed the whole salsa but they didn't. I don't feel like going back again. Also the cashier's shirt had full of animal hair all over and that also made me think of cleanliness of...
