So my family, my boyfriend and I, and even our friends come here all the time. We never used to have problems with the service until tonight and last weekend when we came. We typically get ourselves on the waitlist once we get headed on our way so that our wait won’t be long once we get there. Last weekend when me, my boyfriend and our friends showed up showed up, we checked in when receiving our message to enter the building, we were then told to stand at the “choose your own steak” spot and waited 15 minutes, almost 20 at that. We didn’t say anything cause we could see how busy it was, but the frustrating part was that nobody was assuring us we would be seated or anything. Just kept being looked at and you could clearly see that we were getting frustrated but that was it. We then waited over an hour for our food. Tonight me, my boyfriend and family went to have dinner as my dad just got back from a 2 week work trip and he had been traveling for almost 12 hours. I got us on the waitlist once we were on our way, we approached the check in counter once receiving the message to enter the building. Without even saying a word to the girl, she didn’t even look at me and said “Stand over there.” while pointing to the waiting spot by the “choose your own steak” spot. So we did. Was a bit rude to be honest. We then waited for about 5 minutes and then she looked at us and told us we need to move so that other people could wait in line. At that point we were getting frustrated and so my dad approached her and told her we had been waiting to be seated for what felt like a good amount of time and wanted to know why we were waiting after we were told our table was ready over 5 minutes ago. She then proceeded to give my dad an attitude and said “You’ve literally been standing there 5 minutes so it really hasn’t been that long. Once your table is cleaned you’ll be seated.” So of course that really upset my dad so he just walked away. This girl then proceeded to run her mouth while my dad could hear her and I was watching her the whole time so I could clearly see her running her mouth while staring at my dad. So my dad went back over and expressed that he’s frustrated because we shouldn’t have to wait over 5 minutes to be seated after being told our table is ready, ESPECIALLY when there are 4-5 people just standing around by the check in desk CHEWING THEIR FAKE NAILS and just standing there TALKING and not even paying attention to the fact that there are like 15 people waiting to be seated. I understand that you can’t seat people until tables are cleaned. I DONT CARE how many “bust boys/girls” are working, but when you are so busy that the wait time is 50+ minutes and people are waiting to be seated AFTER being told their table is ready for 5+ minutes then maybe those 4-5 people that are CHEWING ON THEIR NAILS and standing around just talking, they could be helping to clean tables so things can keep moving along. Your job may be to seat people, but if there is enough of you and you’re all standing around waiting for tables to be cleaned, maybe you can help out so people are...
Read moreArrived at 8pm Saturday. Place was busy but no wait to sit. Small booth fit my wife and I well enough with large jackets tucked next to us. Larger frames might find the space tight. Wife did mention she was glad she didn't bring her purse due to space. Food options were to be expected for a steak house. Wife had 8 oz sirloin and shrimp. Her only complaint was shrimp could have been warmer. I had country fried steak with brown gravy on top. I also thought the steak could have been warmer. I thought this may be due to it being smothered in a unhealthy but rather delicious portion of gravy. I would recommend requesting light gravy or on the side. This may help with the dish temp. Also, would help the dish to retain some crispness. Only a couple unslathered portion were very crispy. In general the main dishes were great and we were satisfied. Temps in restaurants are hit or miss. It has to be difficult to balance all the dishes coming out in relation to what is done first or last in your order. I am big on piping hot food so I'm hard to satisfy in that manner.
Server (Ben I believe) was on point and attentive. Order was correct and he was sure to check that I was satisfied with my choice. We had spoken about my hesitation to order a particular meal and asked if I liked it, if not he could replace it. I enjoyed it, so there was no need to have a new meal made. I just appreciate that he followed through.
The environment is as to be expected. I do like that they left up the plexiglass barriers. I feel they help to reduce the noise coming from other tables. I am a bit overwhelmed at times by light and sound. Obviously restaurants are always loud and generally stimulating environments. So, the barriers were nice. I could tell a significant reduction in noise in relation to a previous experience at a nearby, less occupied restaurant. They also have what I can only describe as "dipped " light bulbs. So there's no direct light coming from the bottom portion of the lights that hang above the table. I thought that was a nice touch. Men's bathroom wasn't terrible. Dishes were mostly clean. Couple spots I wasn't find of on dishes but overall I wasn't turned off by anything. I'm very particular about stuff...
Read moreMy sister, her husband and I went to this Texas Roadhouse for dinner on 12/18/2017 at 6;30pm. The staff serving us was rough and appeared to be in a hurry. Her service industry skills were not acceptable.
We ordered our meals and all 3 meals were terrible. The steaks were undercooked, vegetable sides were cold and food presentation was horrible. I sent my meal back and they returned it after several minutes. The same steak had been put back on the grill and recooked. Now being overcooked and unappealing to eat. The sides were now even more cold, as they were not exchanged during the recooking of the meat. The meals for the other guests in my party were also terrible. One was over seasoned, extremely salty and unable to eaten. The other was the same as mine, undercooked with cold sides.
We later found out that they restaurant staff were having their Christmas party ate 8;00pm that evening. It was apparent that they were rushing to get customers out. What I found very disappointing was regardless of our respect and professional courtesy of informing the staff and the manager about our dissatisfaction , we could see cook staff and service personnel coming around our table and giving us dirty looks. We could see them staring at us and talking under their breath. We finished our drinks, paid our bill and have decided to never frequent this restaurant again.
I hope that the kitchen manger, Alan Burnette and the service manage,r Tiffani Freeman and our server, Guzman can understand that families go out during the holiday to enjoy meals together. If you are in the food and service business, your top priority is your customers and their satisfaction. I sincerely understand that maybe the entire staff was anxious for their Christmas party to begin, but they should have not open on this day, if it meant that their service and quality would be compromised. Our reason for choosing this restaurant for dinner last night was based on my sister’s comments of how pleasant and enjoyable her previous experience was at this Texas Roadhouse, several weeks prior. Unfortunately, last night our experience was less than enjoyable and the staff’s reactions to our complaint was less...
