I ordered 2 pounds of decaf espresso beans here today and a cold beverage. The server gave me decaf Pikes Place beans and told me that is what they used to make their espresso drinks. I disagreed and asked for what I had ordered (by this time I had already tipped him $2.70...a keep the change kind of deal) The server was very upset with me a got the bag of coffee beans from under the counter to prove it was Pikes Place....and you guessed it...it was a bag of Decaf Espresso. Meanwhile, it is 100 degrees in our car as we wait. He asked me to pull forward and wait while they have a 2nd go at preparing my order and I said I was fine waiting where I was - I had already waited a LONG time to get to the window. He was MAD!!!! He brought the correct coffee and pulled the tip i gave him and THREW THE TIP IN MY CAR!!!!! Maybe if he got the order correct to begin with, he could have saved himself the embarrassment of being rude to customers. Customers don't want what he is willing to serve....for $30 plus tip, I expect nothing less than what I order! Starbucks claims to train employees on tolerance. Tolerance is not what I experienced at the Auburn Maine location or the Augusta Maine locations. I will be clear that the 2nd location in Augusta (in Target) has always been nice. This particular employee should not be waiting on customers with that big chip on...
Read moreI'm reposting a new new edition of The saga the Augusta Starbucks. I don't know what it is about this location. They can't keep people. They can't keep managers. It's never open. I get coffee at Topsham everyday now because I haven't been able to order from the app in weeks. Literally 3 weeks it has been since it has said anything other than order ahead not available on their app. There's no employees there every time I am actually able to stop and get a cup of coffee. Typically like Saturday morning first thing because I have time enough to stop inside or actually wait in the drive-thru because the inside typically closed. It's a different face every time. I don't know what the deal is with this place, but it has little spurts of being halfway decent. It's never great. It's never really actually good and then it has way longer spurts of this kind of shenanigans where it's never open. They mess up your orders and you can't use the money that you put into the Starbucks app. So if you're heading south from Bangor or if you're headed south. I would just stop at topsham. If it's after whatever time Target opens, go to the one in Target. If you're going north, just stop in Waterville. Just but don't order here. Don't go here. It will lead to nothing but frustration and ruination...
Read moreI have had an exceptional experience at this Starbucks location and a huge part of that is because of one barista in particular. Every time I go and he's there I mean to get his name so I can be sure to include it in my review but I always forget. Every time I see him there it is around closing time. He is an older gentlemen with a foreign accent. Please don't ask me what country the accent is from because I'm almost certain I would get it wrong and I don't want to offend anyone. Regardless, this man is absolutely amazing. He always remembers me which makes me feel like a valued customer. That fact alone has made me want to stop in and hopget a coffee on nights where I otherwise wouldn't have. He is incredibly kind and shows a level of professionalism that I have not seen in any other barista at any other coffeeshop. Unfortunately, many baristas these days come off as snobby, fake nice and standoffish unless they are trying to hit on me which is also a reason for me to avoid certain locations. This man at Starbucks in Augusta hasn't ever come off as anything other than genuinely super kind & attentive. I just wanted to write this review to make sure corporate knows that this man should be a valued member of your staff and...
