Five Guys — Restaurant in Augusta

While the burger I got was what I expect from a Five Guys, nothing else about my experience was.

From the long (15+ min) wait time to the cleanliness of the establishment, I was thoroughly unimpressed.

The soda fountain had about 60% of the flavors blacked out and there were only two straws left in the holders. The lids were strewn all over the place and it looked as though barbecue sauce had been spilled at the station.

Then, I went to use the bathroom and the men's room was honestly one of the worst restrooms I've ever witnessed. The faucet handle was loose and leaking, the toilet seemed in disrepair, and the whole room smelled as though someone had been smoking cheap cigarettes in there.

The condition of the dining area was not much better. We arrived at around 4:50 PM and the floors appeared as though they hadn't been cleaned since the day before. Meanwhile the tables were littered with crumbs and dried, sticky soda.

To add injury to insult, I ordered a bacon cheeseburger "all in" w/o pickles, as well as fries, and a drink. When we got our order, the slip on the bag was 100% correct but the order wasn't.

My burger had extra cheese, mayo, onions, mustard, mushrooms and pickles. No bacon, no lettuce, no tomato, no ketchup. By that time I was hungry enough and the line was long enough that it wasn't worth my time to go in and get the...

The burger was quite good, they added all the requested topping, but cold and the bun was soggy by the time they bothered to acknowledge me standing at the pick up line. I had ordered ahead online and it had been 10 mins, they estimated about 8 and it should be ready when I ordered. However ordering online is pretty much useless if you want a shake as they don't make it until you are there, I was there at least 15 mins before they bothered to ask for my name so they could track down my order which had been sitting there getting cold and soggy then they painfully slowly made the 2 shakes. The kid set them aside, made 2 shakes for another order and sent them on their way and then finally bothered to give me mine. The Oreo creme shake was barely mixed and had a big clump of the creme at the bottom. Less than stellar experience. I was greeted by all crew members, who made me feel like I was home. My amgias that were with me, felt welcomed and relished the energy that was already there. FUN, FRIENDLY, WELCOMING AND EXCITED TO SEE EVERYONE. SERVICE was very friendly and professional. We all sat and ate. Food was incredible. Delicious and hot served immediately and we could hear numbers called out I order. Then I saw a black shirt walk into the dinning room. Passed us and smiled. What we noticed made me wanted to come back. A honest man , saw that a customer (female) left her purse or personal belongings behind by accident. We saw him take it into the back before any other customers could walk off with it. This makes me feel I know I can trust the staff, crew, and employees for doing just the right thing.
