Waffle House — Restaurant in Augusta

This is for the Waffle House I went to with my mother three weeks ago on Wrightsboro Rd next to The McDonalds, The Staff were very rude. When we walked in after a Long day of running important Unexpected errands, we were exhausted and just wanted to sit down in peace and eat. There were No other customers in the place but the jukebox was turned up so loud my mom and I couldn’t hear each other talk. It was also music that we detested. But we were willing to tolerate it if it were temporary.

So we order our drinks, waiting hopefully for that to be the last song.. when It was not my mom very politely asked if they could turn it down some As we couldn’t hear each other to talk. Of all things, the staff goes over To the Jukebox and seems like she turned it up! Then the three staff started dancing and carrying on in the kitchen, looking at us and laughing. We got up without ordering, paid for our drinks and went to a Mexican Restaurant down the street. This was at 2 in the afternoon by the way.. not at night. Never ever will I eat there again. If I could give zero stars I would.

We tried again at the one in North Augusta last week, this time though no music was playing but we waited so long for someone to clean a table that my mom and I had to start clearing the table ourself so we could sit down. At least the food was good and our...

Staff was very very slow to take order, cook could not do more than 1 order at a time. Order was called out to cook and he did not even make it. We have been waiting for over 20 minutes for 3 hash brown bowls and a waffle. They burned two other waffles beyond recognising. We are still waiting for the waffle and sausage hash brown bowl. New cook has just come in and he is on it trying to get the orders out. Their was only 3 people in the whole restaurant and 3 call in orders were not ready after 30 minutes. 9:11 p.m. and still here, been here since 8:30 and they burned our waffle and are now making another one. Usually this is a good waffle house but staff here tonight does not have a clue as to what they are doing. Sad...

We walked in and immediately felt " at home" - and it wasn't just because, to my friend and I, this exact restuarant WAS our " home away from home" when we both worked here almost 14 yrs ago, spending more time here than our actual homes. Both, the waitress and the grill op, were very welcoming and hospitable. Not only was our waitress really swee, but she was also attentive and very patient. The grill op prepared out orders perfectly and in a timely manner. The whole experience was a very pleasant and enjoyable one.
