Angry Chicken — Restaurant in Aurora

It was good and had good service in the past. Now it is just getting worse and expensive. I do take out and wait for my order to be ready on site. The chicken is saggy if you add a sauce and it still have some feathers....

I have also done dine in, but had original chicken most of the time since I like the crispness of it, I lowered down my expectations and still a let down.. the chicken is becoming the equivalent as real crab vs crab imitation. In this case, it is chicken imitation. If you haven't been to Korea and had this, than this might amazing for you. If you had been to Korea and eat this due to a quick bite, living there or studying, you know that this is not the same. Since this is very popular in Korea 치맥

Anyhow, my server never came back, waited 20 minutes to get the bill, after getting the bill, waited another 10 minutes for someone to come to the front so I could pay off The bill. After a while, I had to interrupt the bartender from her chat so she can charge the bill. I could've definitely walked away, but I guess I was raised better.

Food wise, its ok, absolutely nothing special anymore. not the worst, but definitely heading downhill. The hottest sauce was a joke, specially on that tiny ketchup container that you get. You want more, you gotta pay.. you can go to the market and chili paste instead.. This place has a lot of negligence towards service even though there was only 3 tables at the time, that includes my table too. (1 person) Never did that server came back.. there was an asian male walking around serving food and chatting with the other tables, we made eye contact as i was waiting for someone to showed up,, he looked at me and went to the back or the kitchen.. never once did I find out who he was.. perhaps it was the cook or busser?

Went there today again for another take out, thinking that I might be better... nope.. still saggy chicken with some feathers and almost $30 Mango Habanero sauce is salty, not spicy, and has the same taste as your regular buffalo hot wings mild sauce.

In comparison, you could buy 6 whole chickens at costco and getter better service at their register for the same price, Costco is literally within a 3 -5 minute drive... regardless, it was my choice to give them another try.

On the positive side, I gave my dogs the chicken with no sauce and they eventually ate it. So, I guess it wasn't all that bad??

I called and asked when the wings were half off and was told 3-6pm. I ordered at 5:26. I get there at 5:40, wait until 5:55 to be presented with wings and a price for my order which is full price and no explanation was given of your discount only applying to takeout on Tuesday. I learned of your business from the lunar new year celebration, have been once since already which happened to be a Tuesday and got the half price at takeout. It is dishonest to offer "half price wings happy hour and Tuesday" but only takeout on Tuesday. You're a terrible business owner if you can't see that is dishonesty.

You had two options when you had me in your lobby: honor your deal and the miscommunication/ misunderstanding of your price and earn a loyal customer who had learned your policy after miscommunication or turn me away and say it's my fault that you didn't clearly explain your deal when I asked about prices - setting a false expectation. You chose to turn me away. Its sad to me that you would put the blame on me when I clearly asked when the wings were half off and was simply told "every day 3-6pm and Tuesday all day" with no exception that Tuesday was the only day takeout was discounted.

Dishonest business, rude owner, won't return.

I called and asked about their half off wings, was told it was good until 6pm. Ordered, waited at their shop for 15 minutes when they said it would only be 2 as I got there (30 minutes from when I ordered my food for just 20 wing, the place was mostly empty) and they tried to charge me full price. I asked about half off and was only then explained that takeout was not included on 50% and the server asked the owner or manager who just said they didn't owe me an explanation of the discount when I called and that I would have to pay full price for the wings so I just left. I will not return to a dishonest business who can't honor a discount they offer...

This was my second time at this place, and this one was very different experience than the first one, start from the server, the decorations, and the service. Then i found out they just changed ownership (indian owners to be exact). For me its a really a weird cross over between korean and indian.

But whatever, lets get to what matter most.

First of all It was kinda hard to understand the server, and its not just me, there were 3 of us. And all of us have same thoughts. And he only checked on us once the whole time to refill water, i had to go to near kitchen area to ask for to go containers.

The dukkbogi has very weird texture, like it has some kind of layers. and the way they served it was very different. So it come with a pot full or raw veggies, frozen dukkbogi, and other cold stuff. We had to wait until its fully cooked on the portable stove until its ready to eat. Take about 10/15 min. And it taste below average.

The garlic noodle was ok. But for the same price u can get it better even at noodles and company.

The spam fried rice is also below average, its not "fried", more like they just mix with kimchi paste and other stuff all together.

BUT i gotta be honest that their wings were good! Its crispy, Not overcooked, and tasteful! We ordered spicy soy and angry sauce flavor. The spicy soy was fully hand tossed with the sauce, so its all fully covered with the sauce, but thats not the case with the angry sauce, they just poured a little on top, so u only get a little part that covered with sauce, its just weird how they done it. Why dont they just mix it like the others?

When u go to korean restaurant, u really expect to hit that korean craving of yours, and we missed it here.

I wish i can give more star to this review, and i really hope the management read this and actually improve.
