I celebrated my 50th birthday with High Tea and brought my family. Very accommodating, roomy, comfortable atmosphere. The food and tea were AMAZING! We had finger sandwiches (cucumber and smoked salmon, cucumber and herb cheese and tomato and cheese), sausage rolls with mustard (so savory with delicate pastry), warm scones (plain and current) with jam and cream, and little shortbread tarts (cream and strawberry jam, chocolate mousse, lemon curd and lavender). We also received a dessert of Sticky Toffee Pudding that was light and fluffy with caramelized bits on the edges. We chose Earl Grey tea and PGTips tea to go with all of this. It was beautiful and charming. Granny Fi and her Staff are wonderful and make you feel right at home. I found out about them from visiting their booth at The Highland Games every year in Gresham as well as their booth at the Vancouver Farmers Market. It was David there, who told me about the High Tea service they offer at the storefront. They have all the different shortbreads for sale there as well as Lemon Curd and other bits and bobs (HATS!). If you're an anglophile like myself, or just like tea and treats, Granny wont disappoint. Thank you to Granny and the Staff for a wonderful 50th...
Read moreIf you’re looking for a low-key, unpretentious high tea experience, this is the place! The atmosphere is quaint and cozy, making it perfect for a relaxed outing. The high tea tray is loaded with a variety of delicious sandwiches and pastries, offering something for everyone. There’s so much food provided that you definitely won’t leave hungry.
While the tea itself is decent (though nothing extraordinary), the shortbread is the real star—fresh, buttery, and melt-in-your-mouth good. They also offer a variety of gluten-free options, which is a lovely touch. The staff is incredibly sweet and welcoming, adding to the authentic and warm vibe.
Don’t miss the chance to take home some of their phenomenal shortbread—it comes in a wide selection of flavors. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a simple, genuine high tea experience with amazing...
Read moreThe food was wonderful and so much variety! The dessert at the end was a cloud of meringue with cream and fruit and was sooooo good! They also have a store with all types of shortbread, ones I picked were peanut butter and millionaires, for home. They were wonderful! They had many mores flavors and wanted to try them all. The only reason I only provided 4 stars was the tea was not loose leaf and was bagged so not as big of variety or as much flavor as loose leaf and was of a variety found in grocery stores. Always love tea houses that have a good selection of loose leaf and always has more flavor and better quality. Other than that, would definitely recommend a visit, especially if you like shortbread! Worth the drive from...
