We very often go there and loved this place until last night (Oct 30, 2012). Had a horrible experience. They recently changed the management and new manager was absolutely rude. We were refused to get seated in the area we wanted to because some other customers, already sitting in that area, needed to be left alone and not disturbed. Then after placing our order for 3 egg omelette leaving out 2 yellows, our server came back and told us that the cook wouldn't do that. Either they have to be all three full eggs or just 3 whites. When we tried to take it up with the manager she gave us very rude attitude. She even told my son, when he asked her why she was giving that rude attitude, she said there is no recording so she can say whatever she wants to. She called the general manager who told me that he fired the previous manager because he was giving discounts and free stuff to the customers. The previous manager was very good and we never got anything free from him ever. We can pull up the charges on my credit card from that place to prove this statement. Finally when I told the general manger I would like to take this up to a higher level, he called the cops on us and got us some trespassing paper. I am still wondering what type of management is that and whether IHOP corporate would look into this. They should seize all the tapes/recordings of that incident and should view the tapes to see how the GM and the manager dealt with this very rudely. Even if they dont have any audio there should be enough video to show them the body language of management. When I asked the manager for her name on a piece of paper, she said go to the counter and get the paper and pen yourself. GM flatly refused to give me his name at all. So over all very bad experience at this location last night. I wish the previous manager was there and we had...
Read moreExtremely rude. Employee shouted at me. I came in with manager and was told I could have a side of tobacco sauce. No problems, I got it. I came in a few weeks later for the same thing. Got told my manager isn’t here to make that decision. Umm, what? It’s a side of sauce not a side salad. So I told her I thought that was a little ridiculous. I then went to order sausage from them so I could get a side of sauce, she then looked at me and was like ma’am you don’t have to get mad, and I was like you know what I was gonna place an order and I’m not shouting I’m just sitting here with a sad face, I’m not even getting mad. And then proceed to say well you are mad, I was like fine I’m leaving then, and she told me to stop and I was like don’t talk to me, now I’m mad, I was gonna order something but now you can make zero sales from me now and in the future. So rude! Then proceeded to go outside and smoke a cigarette with customers inside. SMH. I will never go back to that location. So disrespectful, I understand if you can’t make that “decision” without a manger but when someone is trying to then order something to make it easier on you and you are still arguing with them and giving them a hard time, that’s not ok. To be honest, I think she thought I was about to leave a bad review which I wasn’t at first, but after the reaction i got, well, now i am. Do not order here or come here unless you wish to be disrespected. I appreciate their work but don’t come at me when I’m trying to make it easier on you and then still...
Read moreHonestly everything was …decent… but the biggest problem I have is that someone should say something if kids drinks aren’t included with kids meals. I have been a server for 10 years and have served at a huge range of places and the only place I have ever worked that charged for kids drinks was a cocktail lounge in a huge vacation destination. $3.49 for a kids drink?! That’s actually insane. Especially when our server was too busy to refill them and they were sucked down in seconds. Even with our coffees the kids meals literally ended up costing more than our food (2 adults, 2 kids) and we both ordered full meals! I think it’s ridiculous to charge for them with the cost of the kids meal already, but if you’re going to, you should at minimum inform people they aren’t included. Besides that everything was pretty bland. The French toast was extremely plain, the blueberry pancakes had maybe a 1/2 tablespoon of blueberry compote on them and were very dry. It had been a long time since we had been to IHOP and only went because we saw an ad that kids eat free (we planned to tip on original total) after 4pm so I took the kids I nanny there, but apparently that had expired. Which is fine, but if from the very beginning I said that’s what we were there for you’d think to mention that kids drinks are so expensive. I highly recommend...
