I have been a loyal customer for over 8 years. The customer service experience I had was so bad on Sunday that they lost my business. I can understand if a server had a bad day, but then the manager got involved and made it worse. I made an error with the menu. I thought the breakfast item I ordered came with a waffle. It came with french toast. I told the server I ordered the waffle, She defensively went into me immediately. She said I ordered the 18 wheeler. That is a french toast dish not a waffle. You didn't order it correctly. WOW. I said okay I guess french toast it is then. So then in a nasty voice she asked me if I wanted a waffle. I did. That's why I came. She very rudely said fine. She said I would have to wait as the other orders will have priority. So then to make matters worse, the manager came up to me with a menu and said, I understand you have a question with the menu. An error on my end was made. The manager said that when orders go back the staff gets into trouble. WOW all of this over bread. I don't want to do business with a company that is punitive with their staff. I ordered a french toast dish instead of a waffle. The waitress was very rude. The manager didn't seem to care becasue she wanted to make it clear that I ordered the wrong entree. She told me several time I ordered the wrong thing. The waitress had no reason to get so upset. The manager wanted to make it very well known that the error was all mine. She did not seemed concerned that I had a awful experience there. There are many places to have breakfast. Talk about making a problem worse. I told the manager based on this humiliating experience I didn't want to return. She didn't care nor was she smart enough to realize that I don't come alone. I bring people with me. It's not one order lost, it's several. I guess they make enough money to disregard how someone feels they were treated. Was it really that much of a hardship to swap out two pieces of bread for batter? Doug's Diner. I'm your...

This has always been my go to but after today I am done until I see change in management. My interaction with everyone but the General Manager, Michael Kinner, was pleasant. In fact the problem was there was no interaction. I come into the place and despite me standing right in front of him, he literally ignores me. He is looking down at the wait list and everywhere but asking a customer who clearly just walked in, how can they be helped or acknowledged them and say one memoment I will be with you. I literally stood there for 10 minutes while the other host finished cashing out a long line of people before the other host ask if I had been helped.

I made a point to observe him the rest of my time at the bar eating, yes I literally waited 10 minutes to ask if I can sit at the empty bar. To my surprise he did know how to look up at people walking in the door greet them properly. He actually knew the concept of taking your eyes off the waiting list and saying how can I help you. So it was just me.

He was very rude to the lady who came in before me. She wanted to order to go, and he said "I have to get a server we are really busy..." as he stormed away seeming irritated. Sir, if you don't want to do your job or don't like your job just...

I have been going here for years. My most recent experience here made me write this review in hopes the restaurant won't make the same mistake again! I went to eat with my two kids and my spouse. I write this on the way home from this experience. Near the end of the meal both out kids asked to go to the restroom at different times but we all end up going to the restroom leaving the table empty but with food still on the table. I come back to the table bussed and a new family being sat down. I was not done eating, but I thought my spouse was waiting for us in the car with our second child. Once we made sense if the situation, our table was bussed without our permission/acknowledgement so we just asked for our kids pancake and bacon which they had to refire...I thought they gave me a discount....instead was charged for the refire and paid $70 out the door....I honestly was so taken out of this whole situation I never argued...I will not be going back but I hope this never happens to...

We visit La Peep really often. While always busy, there is bot usually a wait when we go. The food is consistently good and the service is always exemplary. We enjoy eating here both with, and without, our two (under 10) kids. No one looks at us sideways for bringing our little people out to breakfast. Fluffy pancakes, great breakfast burritos, healthy options, generous kids meals are all great. Only caveat is the coffee, not always that good, maybe this has improved but I don't order "fancy" coffee here. I do enjoy their "Sweetie Pie Skillet" and breakfast tacos as well. There is outdoor seating on the west side of the restaurant with beautiful views of the mountains and Cherry Creek State park from inside and outside. They just did a menu update and a total update to the interior as well that has a fresh modern farmhouse chic feel.

The atmosphere was inviting and pleasant. We got to our table relatively quickly too, on a Sunday. I miss the days when the waitress served with a smile and said thank you, especially when I give them a tip. I understand they are tired but service goes a long way. The food was decent. Nothing spectacular. My only real complaint is the water. You can taste metal from the tap in all of the drinks served. Is the water filtered at all? I'm not asking for everyone to be served bottled water. If the water is filtered you may want to check if it's past the expiration date. It affected the taste of the coffee and my wife's tea. Other than that, our visit was average. It's just hard to give a place a high score when I couldn't enjoy a good cup of coffee.

Parking is challenging depending on the day and time you visit. Early mornings are often busy. Weekend mornings are busier. No wait on weekday mornings, but be prepared to wait for an average of 10-20 minutes on weekend mornings. Servers are hit and miss.. some are more pleasant than others.. but overall they are ok. Breakfast are always good. Hot chocolate are mediocre.. taste like my packet at home.. Facility was clean.. noise level was acceptable. I can carry a conversation without yelling.. 2019-Sept. Party of 3. Food was great! Service was great! Even received free pancake for my birthday!
