Let me start by saying that I and my family have visited Numerous Jersey Mike’s locations in the Denver Metro at least twice a week for over two years. This location at Tower and Hampden is absolutely the WORST location of all the ones that we visit. The only reason we visit this location is it is convenient, being about a mile from our house. I never consider going to this location during “lunch time” as the service time is exponentially slower than the normal turtle pace. Back to the visit; Saturday afternoon, when we arrived, there were three people in line in front of us and five employees not including the Manager Jermaine. We received the usual hello greeting as we entered but the experience was down hill from there. We waited five minutes to actually give our order to the first employee. Two sandwiches, One Cold(#8), One Hot(#26). Three more customers lined up behind us. The “Manager” Jermaine was at the front by the register and proceeded to leave the work area to the back. Now SEVEN customers in line. NO management or direction to the staff as the customers lined up. Continuing with the visit, the hot sandwich ticket was hung up – only one other ticket in front of it. The “new” employee finally started working on the cold sandwich – A Regular #8, Mike’s Way NO onion and LIGHT on the oil and vinegar. Sandwich prep – not only No Onions but very light on the lettuce and unfortunately very heavy on the oil and vinegar. I am so glad that I asked for light oil and vinegar (!?!) Ten minutes into the visit, cold sandwich received, both sandwiches paid for. No Hot sandwich yet. Not only No Hot sandwich – The HOT sandwich had not even been started!! When asked about this – the front girl stated that there were a lot of Hot sandwiches ahead of ours. Not true – there was one order of three hot sandwiches ahead of our single item. I not so nicely stated that she should go get the manager to direct help to the single hot item cook. Another employee overheard my loud conversation and stepped in to assist the hot item cook. Eighteen minutes – from entering the restaurant we finally had our order complete. As we were turning to leave - in the front door walks Jermaine; He had apparently left via the back door and minutes later arrived by the front door. No greeting, No Thanks for coming in today – Nothing to acknowledge us. This review may seem harsh, but unfortunately this is the typical experience at the Tower and Hampden location in Aurora. I have Fifteen years of Management experience in the Restaurant Industry, so I do have a critical eye for service, food quality, and cleanliness. This location lacks in ALL areas. The service time is always slow, the food quality is average at best and the restaurant appearance and cleanliness is only average to sometimes poor – dirty tables often is the first thing you see as you enter the restaurant. I visit the Jersey Mike’s locations at North Stapleton, Smoky Hill, Greenwood Village, Parker Road so I have experienced a High standard of FAST service, Excellent Food Quality and Above average Cleanliness. But not at the Tower and Hampden store. The continued history (not a single visit) of POOR service and food quality has lost this customer to this location. I will drive twice as far to other Jersey Mike’s location or will go to other local...
Read moreI'm done going to this location after today. My Wife and Daughter both are gluten free and I have gone there to get sandwiches for them. The three times I ordered sandwiches for them, they were wrong all three times (no lettuce, got lettuce, the second time was no tomatoes for my daughter and got tomatoes and the third was oil and vinaeger on the side and got none. I went today and the kid they have making sandwiches asked me not one, not twice but 4 times what I needed on the sandwich. All I asked for was Mikes way, with mayo and jalepeno. The first time he asked again what I needed again, then he asked if I needed yellow peppers, then I said mayo and jalepeno and for the last time, he then asked if it was mayo and yellow peppers. I mean really??!!! Oh and the last time my wife went also, there was an older gentleman working the register and tried to charge my wife for the customer's order that was before her!!! I seriously don't know what you all are doing there, but my family and I won't be going there any more. I love Jersey Mike's and I have gone to the Northfield location, (by my job for lunch) and to the new location off Parker Road and Illiff, and their quality of service and their customer service is EXCELLENT! It is insane busy at Northfield for lunch I have seen over 15 people in line there and not one time have they screwed up an order and know me by my first name! The new location is beautiful and not so busy yet, but also have never messed up our orders and even baked a gluten free for my wife because they were out. This location has been out 4 times I have been there and nobody ever offered to bake one (they take just 20 min to make). Really sad, but the owner of this location should really work on getting some realiable employees to...
Read moreAll my life I have ordered Subway sandwiches. I like Subway sandwiches. But one day my brother brought home a Jersey Mike's sandwich. I felt the sandwich was above and beyond and very good. Tonight I decided to order my first time. I was at home so my husband went to Jersey Mike's at Hampden and Tower and asked one of the employees there if I could talk to him over the speaker of my phone and order a sandwich as I had many questions about what they offer. A very nice gentleman who was so willing to help Jermaine helped me with the order. The sandwich was very good . The roast beef was very good quality . My only suggestion is to make the bread a little bit thinner. They also don't have a way to make a hot sandwich other than the one that they serve like subway you can have the cheese melted on the meat Etc. But I came up with a solution and warmed it up in my house and it was just absolutely delicious. I love the lettuce on there and everything else. We got the huge sandwich because you can actually be a meal for three people for around $20. Jermaine seemed happy to help me with this unusual request and because of that I am writing this five-star review. These days in this world there seems to be so much distress negativity and toxicity. What I want to say is Jermaine was patient, kind and tolerant with me. I appreciate that so much Jermaine and want everybody to know the good customer service is so appreciated in this world today. I know for me if I can smile or say hello or make a difference in someone's life I will do it. I own my own business of 27 years as a professional pet sitter and I understand what good service means. Thank you again. My name is Lynn and I will definitely be back treat this time in person so I can say hello...
