Kathryn's Place - Fox Valley — Restaurant in Aurora

My experience at this establishment was very disappointing. One of the worker ladies took my order, which I appreciated. There was a gentleman who was identified by the worker as the manager of the establishment. This gentleman walked past, my Brother and I without acknowledging our presence. I found this to be very unpleasant, unprofessional, and not welcoming. I was able to express how I felt about his unacceptable behavior. He was very apologetic. After we waited for several minutes for our food order, I was not pleased with what I observed. We both ordered the pizza. The pizza was overcooked and almost burned. It was not tasteful and not to my liking. I didn’t bother to mention this to the manager because I was hungry and didn’t feel like speaking to him about this matter. Lastly, I visited their restroom before leaving the establishment. Their toilet tissue was on the floor in the women’s restaurant. Needless to say, I opted to not utilize their restroom. Overall, we will not be returning to this establishment. I was completely turned off by his behavior, the food, and the restroom. I found the food being overpriced. I take pride in being an individual who is professional diner. I do not mind spending money on great food and service. You don't want to miss Sundays at Kathryn's - Place. The atmosphere is a VIBE! From the cozy seating to the ambient lighting; sports streaming and LIVE ENTERTAINMENT (on Sundays) 🤯 WHAT?? YES, IN THE FOX VALLEY MALL! Listen, the brick oven pizza has a perfectly crisp thin crust paired with the smoothies and Acai bowls?? Undeniably delicious... and it's healthy!! They had fitness trainers on site who provided tips and recommended the perfect jump start to healthier cleaner eating. I also purchased the rejuvenating cleanse which consists of 6 bottles of a variety of juices from pressed fruit & veggies. Not interested in healthy eating? There are other indulgences such as desserts and a cocktail bar stocked with signature drinks. There's ample parking and patio seating! My girls and I will definitely be back...

The place is pretty, but I think they need to train their staff better. We stopped by this weekend for the first time, and they took 50minutes to prepare 4 smoothies; if they know they will host other events, they could prepare better, because the lines weren’t long when we placed our order. It seems like they didn’t have a sense of urgency, I understand they prepare everything fresh but why made us wait for ordering protein shakes and made priority making pizzas and açaí bowls for the rest of the patrons. Please don’t get me wrong as I wasn’t expecting my order in 2 o 10 minutes but 50 minutes was totally unacceptable.
